They are cruel, sending such pictures and then making us wait for two weeks... I could not sleep yesterday until I had scribbled this down. Thank you very much, glad you liked it! It's been a long while since I wrote something and I wonder if I have some sort of bad streak inside me, when Malcolm Merlyn can make my writing juices flow, something Jack Harkness never managed...

JB and the Arrow peeps have been really coy about whether Malcolm will make it to season 2. I also think they'd be crazy to kill him off, but at the same time I'm sure they want to have Tommy take up the Dark Archer mantle. I don't see why they couldn't have Malcolm for another season, because I think Tommy's slide to the darker side has been seeming a bit quick (one of the few flaws of the show in my opinion). I see it happening in two ways; either Malcolm spends the next season training Tommy, or Tommy disappears off the show and goes to the island (forgot the name) where Malcolm learned his skills. At any rate, the Merlyn story has been fascinating.

Hee, bad guys are so much fun to write.

And I'm happy John found a new family with the Arrow guys, as it doesn't look as we will get more Torchwood anytime soon. Hope they'll keep Malcolm Merlyn around for a bit longer!

There are things here that I would have liked to see in the series like, Oliver shock when he found out about Malcolm, I mean he grew up watching Malcolm as the businessman and he suddenly is a super action man, and the fact that a part of him admires his abilities.
Also I like that you write Malcolm trying to convert Oliver "to the dark side", and his admiration for him too. They are very similar.
And Roy saving him, that was a good thing too, that would have been a good surprise.

Yeah, I also wonder why Oliver wasn't more surprised.
I guess it was too early for Roy being the hero, he needs some training yet as well. If Oliver can't beat Malcolm, Roy certainly can't. He just got lucky in my fight.

I also really liked Roy coming to the rescue. I'd love to see Roy really get the chance to be a helpful part of the team in this next season. *fingers crossed*
Anyway, I enjoyed this! :D ♥

In a way I am sad that they put out those spoilerious pictures because imagine the impact if we hadn't anticipated it! I saw those pics even before the other episode, where Malcolm removed Oliver's hood and said "Oh no" so it really was not nice of them to spoiler us so much. On the other hand, I should be grateful, as it gave my my writing muse back. I had written a lot of Stargate stories, but then there was not much in Doctor Who or Torchwood. And then Arrow happened. Bamm.
I literally was not able to find sleep until I had let that out of my system.
Of course, you have to ask yourself how Oliver was not able to fight Malcolm but Roy was, but well, it made for a nice rescue ;)
I hope we will see much of Malcolm next season, he is such a great villain. And I don't say that only because I am a JB fan. He really created something special with this character and gained a lot of new fans. I love to read the IMDB boards.
