Doctor Who: Dalek in the snow

Feb 23, 2021 23:13

Need to get out my snow pictures before Spring fully hits. I took these last Sunday when we still had plenty.
Never let it be said I'm not doing anything with my Doctor Who figures anymore alumfelga! Hope you like them.

I missed the word "never" and thought you said you're not doing anything with Doctor Who figures anymore. I'm glad I wasn't right! The Tenth Doctor and Jack had iconic coats. They looked amazing when they were running.
This story makes me want to watch some old Doctor Who episodes again. I don't think they ever made a Dalek episode with snow, maybe that's why :D

I'm trying to get myself back into the mood as well!

I even bought an 1/6 scale Jack yesterday. Who will arrive in one year from now. Check this out, he looks amazing! Can't wait to pose him with my TARDIS.

Also I will be able to do this scene which was the first scene I ever have done, with Martha and Jack and Ten:

There is a scene in "Utopia" where Jack and Ten are running along side-by-side with their coats and that's when I realized how wonderful this is. I love this episode.

You'll get him in a year? He looks great, though. Worth the waiting.

Utopia is one of my favourite episodes, with so much action and so much fun. Jack was back, the Doctor and Yana were excited to work together, and then there was the big reveal about the Master. Everything worked here. And the coats are the best :)

But the third Doctor is supposed to arrive later this month! I should go back to watch his episodes to get inspiration.

Also I wanted to tell you for a long time - I bought a new 5" Ten! I was looking for Ophelia and the seller had this Ten in tux, which must be new as he is not among the many variants I already own. So now I need ideas for a story with a Ten in tux! Go! LOL

So he's not Ten-inch, but five-inch? :)

Do you have anyone else from Doctor Who in this size? Everytime Ten wears a tux, something bad happens, so I can imagine him running off from a dinosaur, a Cyberman or something else and his companion would say "I told you this would happen if you wear the tux!".

Yes, all the Doctor Who and Torchwood figures that I have are 5". Which is already rather small but then they switched to only 3,75". That's when I stopped collecting as in this small size the paint jobs and also the sculpting just is very clumpsy. They claimed it would be a better fit with other figure lines (like Star Wars) and better playing potential for children, but in the end it was only cheaper to make.

But somehow they still do a special 5" once in a while, also of classic Doctors and monsters.

I do have a dinosaur thanks to my brother, good idea!
