My little Ed was bored so I made him the Bolodon disks game. I hope he teaches me the rules so we can play together! Made with Shrinky Dink, a plastic straw and some small beads.
Oh, now that is gorgeous and inventive! Great work!
Edit: My husband walked by as I was typing and he saw what was on the screen. He asked me to explain, so I did, and he scrolled down to the screenshot from the show and asked me what that was. I said, "That's a shot from the show.," and he went, "Oh.... The toy prop looks better than the show."
Aw, thank you so much! And what high praise from hubby! I'm blushing!
I'm not sure if we have talked about The Orville before, and seeing that you now are immersed in a new fandom I probably can't get you to watch now if you haven't already, but if you would give it a shot one day I think you should like it! It's so nice to have a positive show again instead of all the darkness and grime. One that is about the characters and their relationships rather than the action. I didn't know how much I missed that until I got it back.
The Orville is definitely something I have wanted to watch for a while now. We haven't yet because we don't have any TV service (we never used it so we finally cancelled our satellite service over a decade ago) and so at the time it came out, there was no way to do it. Now, as I see on Amazon, it's available on streaming or DVD, so maybe it's time.
Yes, I am pretty immersed in Good Omens, but that's calming down and we've been doing other stuff, most recently rewatching all of ST:TNG, so obviously we have time to pick up something new. It's nice to hear that the show is not dark and grimy, which is something I'm very tired of. Hm... My husband and I go to a friend's house every couple of weeks to watch 5-8 episodes of Stargate, and after about five years of watching SG-1 and Atlantis, we're almost done. Maybe I'll suggest we watch The Orville next. :)
Yes, it's on Amazon, there are also DVDs from the first season, and it is on Hulu. In fact, season 3 will only be on Hulu, not on Fox any longer. But we will have to wait till next year for it. Plenty of time for you to catch up, as they are only short seasons anyway. Start now! That's an order! LOL

We just finished Stargate: Atlantis this past weekend. I'm very bummed, as I really enjoyed it, and the ending was a bit anticlimactic. (It felt like they'd written the season finale as a two-parter, and then they found out they were being canceled, so they stuffed it all into one episode.) We plan to watch The Boys first, as it's only 8 episodes, and then The Orville

Mmm, yes, Karl Urban. I haven't seen him in a lot of stuff - Star Trek, of course, and Thor Ragnarok, maybe a couple of others - but I have loved him each time. He is an incredibly versatile actor

So because of this discussion I watched the first "The Boys" episode today and I loved it! I had been reluctant as I have been kinda burned on superheroes after four years of "Arrow" (before I gave up) and also I can't really get into the MCU universe despite many tries. But this one is very realistic and I definitely want to know what happens next. Recommended
