Gotham: Customized paneled wall, Penguin gets painted by van Gogh

Sep 16, 2017 19:07

Look at that awesome chair I got for my Penguin! I saw it on someone's picture and HAD to have it. Helpful people told me that originally this came with the Morpheus figure from Matrix, but then someone gave me the link to this replica and so I was able to get it much cheaper and without having to buy an expensive figure I don't really want anyway ( Read more... )

Wow! This is pretty amazing. I really like that you've shown us the before and after stages of your project, too. Seeing what you start with makes the finished product even more impressive!

Huh, looks like I never replied to your comment. I think I kept it as a reminder to put up an extra post about the wall which I have finally done months later! https://dieastra.livejournal.com/297345.html

There you can see it a bit better.
I'm always happy to show my work, so maybe someone can get inspired and try it themselves! Thank you!

Don’t worry about late replies! I’m terribly guilty of that myself, so it really doesn’t bother me.

I’m not sure I have the guts to ever try to make my own, but seeing how you do it is fascinating!

Every year in Summer I do a heroic effort and try and clean my inbox. Only 699 messages to go ;)
I have deleted some old ones by people who only said "Nice" or something and there is not much else than "Thank you" to reply. I also remember the reason why there are so many old ones - when Photobucked blocked everything I felt it odd to reply when you could not even see the picture anymore. For the time being they are back now though.

I’m not sure I have the guts to ever try to make my own, but seeing how you do it is fascinating!I meant more people in general. You never know who might wander in here! I I know I at least have inspired a guy on Twitter (he told me so) who is now also doing really great Gotham action figure pictures. What he lacks in accessories and backgrounds, he makes up in great and funny poses and I absolutely love them ( ... )

Not sorry at all! :D

And, yeah, I can definitely see the difference between the two small figures. And, wow, the 12" one is spectacular, but, yeahhh, $1000 is not an amount of money I can see paying for a toy, however incredible.

Those small cheap figures are fun though. For example, you can eject Marie Antoniette's head ;) And, aside from all the historial important people, there is also a Lunch lady (who gives out lunches in school) and a Librarian - and a Crazy Cat Lady. Seriously.

And then I probably should not tell you about the life-sized Iron Mans, that go for 10,000 Dollars. Someone in a forum said that he had pre-ordered two of them (different in style, I assume) Yeah, I am as shocked as you. Imagine all the figures I could buy with that! LOL

(also, where does someone put this?)

Hmm, when I click on the links I just get directed to an image hosting site and never get to see the pics:(

You don't see the pictures? They should be embedded in the post. And from the comments by others I assume they are able to see it.

What about any of my other recent posts?

What about now? I just changed one of the three pics. Can you see it now? Not sure what the difference is.

Edit: If the embedded pictures still don't work, here are the direct links that should lead to them:

It had something to do with either Firefox or work or both. It was only a link on the page which I had to right click on, tell it to open and then tell it to make an exception for the certificate and then work told me it was a cloud sharing site and not to put any patient information there. Big old rigamarole, but after I went through it, the pictures showed up in the post.

Glad to hear it worked! It's just my new photouploading page that I went to after Photobucket broke. If you look for one, I can recommend it. Easy to use, which was important for me. Just upload and share the link.

That's a stylish armchair! And who wouldn't want to be painted by van Gogh, if you have something comfortable to sit in.

I really love that chair!
And your comment just made me thinking, maybe I should let myself be painted by van Gogh! I would not be able to sit down, but still I strike a nice pose in the dress.
I'll put it on the list.
