Gotham action figure pics: "A Butler's Life" - Things Alfred Pennyworth does that nobody sees

May 18, 2017 21:50

Here is a series of 7 pictures of my Alfred Pennyworth figure doing butler things: Cleaning, hoovering, raking leaves, chopping firewood, polishing the silver, keeping fit and doing repairwork. Click the cut to see them all! Enjoy!

(I got a retweet from Sean Pertwee who plays Alfred in "Gotham". I'm so happy he liked it!)

Thank you very much! I had great fun doing these and was impatient when I finally could share. I am so happy that Sean Pertwee likes them too! Next week he can put a face to them when I come to his table ;)

Cool! It's awesome that Sean Pertwee retweeted them too.

I bought this model kit in Sydney recently:

They also make some office kits, a park bench, a claw crane game, a construction security kit, and a restaurant set:

Thank you!

And oh, nice! I saw this capsule machine before but in the end didn't go for it as somehow it looks too japanese for me, and I also don't think I will have much use for it. Nor for the restaurant or the school desk. I would love the crane thing just for the fun of it, but again it does not look like the ones I am used to. I also saw other arcade games but when there are too many I never can decide which to get.

But I couldn't resist the lab table! They actually say that you should paint it but I used just the original plastic colors. Do you paint your models?

Not usually. Most of the ones I get come pre-painted, and I'm too lazy to do any touch-ups/ changes anyway XD

Thank you! But dancing? Where do you see dancing? LOL
Although there was a scene in the series where Alfred offered to show Bruce how to dance with a lady.

In the fifth picture he is polishing silver. Do you mean the sixth? That is a treadmill, he is running on it. I called it "Keeping fit". Since he is also Bruce's bodyguard and often gets into dangerious fights.

I thought butlers just open doors and commands valets and everyone else from the staff :D However, if there's no one to command, I guess butler has to do everything himself. Even jog.

Great pictures, it seems you have literally everything for a scene. I love the wood and the grass, and the green background. Is the fire in the fireplace from Flash?

It is indeed a puzzle how Alfred manages that whole of Wayne Manor all by himself. But we never see any other staff. It's just him and Bruce. He cooks, he cleans, he drives Bruce to school and if some bad guy wants to kill Bruce, he fights them. He was in a special soldier unit in the UK so has skills. That's what the keeping fit is for ;)

The firewood? That was bought long time ago, as once Jack O'Neill had been chopping wood and I wanted to recreate that scene. I made the axe myself, it looks exactly like the one from Stargate.

The grass is one of those mats that you can buy for model train sets I guess.

No, I once bought the fire seperatedly. I just had posed it with my Flash figure before, which is where you probably recognize it from. It is several different pieces which you even can turn and twist and add small pieces to the big pieces. That fireplace looks so empty, I had to add fire and also some of the wooden logs. They keep falling out though. Hope there won't be a fire one day!

Your attention to detail is just...I have no words. The first pic with the rug rolled back so he could wash the floor is genius! And polishing the silver! *hearts you*

Awww, thank you! If you have any more ideas what Alfred could do, please let me know, I'd like to continue this series.

I also got another retweet from Sean for the last three pictures (I sent them in batches) and when I showed up in London he said "Oh, it's you!"

It was so great to meet him, I'll have to post all my pictures!
