Customizing: Jim Gordon in wifebeater shirt and with naked chest

Feb 18, 2017 17:49

I've never watched "Buffy" or "Angel" (aside of that famous musical episode) but I have bought quite a few of their figures over the years, as fodder for customs, or as stand-ins.

- Wesley became Jack O'Neill in blue Air Force uniform

- Willow became Carole Barrowman

- Hawaiian Spike and Angel became Jack and Daniel from "Stargate"- Wesley and ( Read more... )

I love seeing how you do this stuff! Btw, there's an argument online to change the phrase "wifebeater shirt" to "a-shirt."

Thank you! I have lots more coming up - five ideas at once, no idea where to start!

Btw, there's an argument online to change the phrase "wifebeater shirt" to "a-shirt."

That is good. It is quite an odd word. And also probably not entirely true. Not all wifebeaters wear such shirts, and not everyone who wears such a shirt is a wifebeater!

I don't remember where I learnt it from but it is the only I know. Would you understand "undershirt"? This is what it is called in German, as you wear it under the real shirt.

There is a special kind of collar on a shirt that is called "Vatermörder" in German. Father murderer. Not really better!

Ah, good! Why not just use this one and let the other go out of fashion? Why trying to invent a new word instead?

Another friend just told me about "dago tee". And apparently in Russia it is a drunker's shirt. Poor shirt is not faring well all over the world!

Despite your detailed explanation, I still marvel at how the heck you do this? It continues to amaze me!
