Customizing: Steel beams and police files for the "Gotham" police precinct

Finally I can show you what I have worked on during the past days! I made beams to match the look of the "Gotham" police precinct. It's all done from scratch. I am very happy about how they came out!

I left 20 Euros in the crafty shop for supplies like wood, the bead pen and also wood glue:

I have recently joined a Facebook group, where people post dollhouse items made from every day things. I tell you, even I can learn a lot there. So many genious ideas. If you don't have time to make any yourself, maybe you want at least look at what others do and get inspired?

It's my new favorite group, the people there are all so nice and lovely. We share our stuff and tell each other how it's done, and get some praise. Bad politics can stay outside the door.

Thank you! I'm really proud of these! Sometimes you don't know whether the idea you have will work out in the end, but it did.

Maybe I should indeed take all my tiny things and show them to professional people. Then again, working in the film industry probably means moving to Berlin, and I am not ready for that!

Now I must tell you from my own personal experience that waiting for being ready is actually an excuse for many other things. And waiting means wasting the time and chance...

I just love my Dresden too much. Berlin is too big, loud and dirty. I wouldn't want to live there. Of course, when one has been born there they may see it differently. But think of all the nice things we have here... nah

Thank you! I'm really happy how the steel beams / girders / pillars / whatever the right word is, came out! Sometimes you don't know if your idea works but if one didn't know they are made from wood, they would think they are really metal. Or so I hope. I made sure to make them not too new and shiny but old and rusty.

I was surprised to find so many police files online. Even in such high resolution that you actually can read them (names being blackened out). Even the pictures of crime scenes with real victims?
