What a simple idea. It looks great :) Kirk seems so relaxed!

Thank you! It looks very tasty indeed!
Everyone deserves a break once in a while, even a Starship captain.

As you may guess, the glasses are bought from the Tenth Doctor ;) Since I have two of them, I also have two glasses. So far nobody has commented on that 3D-glasses actually are just black these days. I could have given them the sunglasses but I wanted the blue and red ones just for fun.

I think we all remember red and blue ones :) I don't often watch 3D movies because my eyes get tired so the old ones are what I think of when I hear "3D glasses". There's something iconic about them, don't you think?

I remember having a book in my childhood with pictures you needed to look at with those glasses. And you would see hills rising up etc. I have to look if I still have that.

I don't watch too many 3D movies either but the recent Star Trek one looked amazing. I also saw "Fright Night" with David Tennant in 3D. It was the only option. Although there were only bits, not the whole movie. When the sparkles fly around, for example.

I didn't know Fright Night was in 3D! Only saw it last year. It didn't feel like a 3D film (sometimes you can tell, even when you're watching in 2D, "that effect is made to look great in the 3D version"), although if it's just bits, I understand why.

I've never seen David on big screen, in the cinema. I hope Mad to be Normal gets international release so I can finally do this. Oh, his voice in Dolby Surround!

When you watch it again, watch for the action scenes. There are things flying towards the screen, which is very classic 3D ;) When the girl blew up in sparkles, I think, and also at the street, when the cars hit and in the end, in the basement?

Sadly we only got the German version at the time. So no David voice in dolby surround for me either :(

I had only rewatched the David Tennant scenes since then, but when Anton Yelchin died I sat down and watched the whole movie again and I must say that I really like it. I am usually not into horror movies or vampires, but Anton was really great in it and it never was boring. I only started to remember his name as Checkov in the new Star Trek movies so imagine my surprise when in one of the eulogies online I read that it was him in Fright Night. It's a sad loss.

We also went to see "What we did on our holiday" at the cinema but again only in German. I still have to buy the DVD go get the original Scottish. See, I totally forgot that.
