I won't be back to work until next week and only then can scan my photo sessions. So have some Vic pictures I took instead. It's not really a picspam, only four pics. He is as hard to photograph as John Barrowman, never standing still.
Vic was my original reason for going to this convention (William Shatner and Karl Urban got added later) and he was the highlight of the weekend for me. He told us he had been quite afraid that nobody would be interested in him (there was a huge line-up of famous Star Trek actors from all series, including George Takei and Walter Koenig). I read yesterday that in America at animé conventions people have to wait three hours for his autograph and he is considered as big as William Shatner there. But of course not here in Germany.
We had a lot of time to talk to him at the autograph table, and he willingly did all my crazy photo ideas. He knows and loves John, and even wrote so on my picture. I did not get an answer to my question whether his phone number was in his address book for a possible Star Trek Continues guest spot. But he took out his phone to show us a picture of himself with John, and while we were at it, I also asked to see the famous bruise he had gotten while doing a stunt for "Lolani". He said it looks like Texas, and that nobody ever sees it so we were really lucky ;)
But my highlight was the piano song he played just for me, while looking into my eyes. I'll never forget that. More on that when I can show the video.
I also managed to give him an album with my action figure pictures and he really liked it. He even took a picture of me with it. He said "You're my kind of girl" after I also showed him the
Captain Kirk with ripped shirt and the
3D chess I had customized, and he said that he had done an animated video with animé figures. Guess that's my next goal then ;)
He even took a picture of me with the album as a memory, he says he always does that. He also asked me to sign it but I already had ;)
Not sure if anyone would be interested in hearing more about the panels. It was just nice seeing his enthusiasm for Star Trek Continues and how he made his dream come true. He showed us some clips of him doing the first movies at just 11 years old, he had learnt how to use the sewing machine from his mom to make uniforms and Tribbles, hundred of them. He even was tearing up a little bit once.
He even told us a secret about the new set for episode 7 but I will honor him and not repeat it. He said he was editing the episode on his laptop on the way over the ocean and we should please not break into his hotel room LOL He is just so excited and it must be hard keeping secrets. He also introduced and then watched episode 6 with us, and when he was going back on stage again I could see him wipe his eyes. It was a quite emotional episode.
Those that gave money already got a link to watch it, the rest has to wait till May 28th when it's the official premiere.
So, I am still on cloud nine. Please don't get me down!
Look at that tight shirt and those pants. This is what he looked like in the photosession. You could feel every muscle when putting your arms around him ;)
x_erikah_x I'll tag you in all my Vic posts so you won't miss them okay? Sorry, totally forgot to give him your greetings, even though there would have been plenty of time :( I only realized too late and he had to leave early so I did not get another chance. Next time!
