At first I used a stack of books to hold my "walls" up but now I have these greet bookends:

Thank you very much ;) I should do a post with pictures from each year, showing the progression! That would be fun?

Thank you! Someone said it looks like a set from Shaun the sheep. I may have been influenced there ;) I love that series.

That's a great hobby you have. thanks for sharing it. I've gotten some ideas for when I'm setting up my action figures soon. No copying but you've certainly kicked started my creativity.

Oh, don't be worried of copying! I am always very happy when I can inspire someone else to start with this hobby and I am certainly not the only one doing this in the world. You surely know that I sometimes reblog other people's post on Tumblr, but there is much much more out there. And everyone has their personal touch.

So go and have fun! And make sure to let me know about it! I'm looking forward to whatever you come up with.

And remember, you don't need to buy expensive dollhouse stuff. Just keep your eyes open for little things, they are everywhere. Fridge magnets, keyrings, Christmas tree decorations, the like. The world is a different place since I see it with miniature eyes ;)

SO cool! How did you make the brick walls?

The brick walls as well as other stuff like wooden fence, wooden floor, grass, sand, sky with clouds, sky with stars, a wall of books etc. I bought in a crafts shop. These are so cool!

I did a post back then here: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/125726.html

but have purchased many more since. They certainly come in handy! I have the bricks in different sizes even, for the big and for the small figures.

I can buy sheets of brick in 1:12 scale but it's a bit pricey. Oh well, I'll just have to save up! :)

Mine cost between 1 and 2 Euro, but having lots of them adds up, too. I had also thought about going to a model railway shop but I feared the scale would be too small. But I know railway stuff is also expensive.

Would it be cheaper searching for a picture and let it print in large size in a copy shop?
