Customizing: my selfmade K.I.T.T. model from "Knight Rider"

In 1989, when we got our first Western German TV channel, we watched a lot of TV series and the first one I ever saw was "Knight Rider" and I quickly became a fan of it. I was 16 years old at the time and (showing that even back then I already had an interest in miniatures) decided to build my own K.I.T.T. model. It is in no scale, I only used ( Read more... )

Thank you very much! It was such a long time ago and yet it seems yesterday.
Took me quite a while but I am still very proud of the result, even though it's been a while that I watched the show.

Nowadays, I just spend all my money buying stuff, like that TARDIS playset in the post under this one, instead of building things.

Dear Astra,
this is absolutely unbelievable. This attention to detail - Wow - this is absolute top. The seats, instrument panel, gear selection, the folding roof, the seats, mirrors and trunk. I do not know the K.I.T.T. had a trunk. The model of K.I.T.T. is absolutely outrageous. Seats still in astonishment before the computer.
Thanks for sharing, Astra.

This is amazing stuff! I love the car! And your figure looks better than anything I've tried.

Thank you! Did you also watch "Knight Rider"?
I just recently was talking with someone about it and so remembered that I need to post these pictures. It's been a long time since I was a fan, though.

And the figure is way off, the arms are too long, and the feet too big (I wanted him to be able to stand ;) ) And the face - well.

Have you also looked at the link, what else I did with the surprise egg parts? Not sure if you saw it at the time I posted it.

I remember seeing the show but it's very hazy.

I took a look--you are very creative! :D

Wow, it's so fabulous, and so impressive! I love that you used all sorts of scraps, like the surprise egg and bits of foil and plastic. Wonderful!

Thank you very much (again)!
Yeah, I always was very inventive and creative using all kind of stuff. In a way, many Eastern Germans were. Some things were rare to buy so people made them themselves.

Have you also looked at the other links in the post, what else I did with that surprise egg things, and the little Western figures?

Hi Neith! Thank you very much!
I am afraid Paya and I will see Vancouver only from a few centimeters above ground level this time, as we intend to bring our little action figures, LOL

Have you looked at the two other links I gave in this post as well? The one with the picture from surprise egg leftovers and the one where I made little Wild West figures? I am very proud about those as well.

See you next Friday at the last!
