I wasn't going to, but then I've got lots new stuff and I always arrange it in a different way, so here is my Christmas decoration from this year. For close-ups and proper explanation of some of the props please refer to my previous posts Christmas decoration 2014 and Christmas decorations 2011There are also a few candles in the candleholders still ( Read more... )

You've got an advent calendar! I have one every year as well, but always with chocolate bits. I feel a bit silly about it but not silly enough to stop having them ;) It's nice with magnets and a picture to complete!

The glowing, colour-changing items are lovely as well.

And... Did I see a mug with David Tennant's face? ;)

Bit late reply but you did see a mug with David Tennant's face indeed ;) I bought it at the theatre, it is the picture of "Much ado about nothing" that was also on all the posters etc. I also bought the book with the exact text they used for the show (apparently there are different versions). As I hadn't understood much at the first show. I then read it before we went a second time and understood it much better. I mean all the funny play with words, I knew the story of course. But often people were laughing and I did not know why.

If you don't know that book, it also has interviews with David and Catherine, and a diary of the rehearsals. How they all brought Eighties songs and then danced to it etc. Quite interesting read and a great memory for me!

I found this site once:
http://nfs.sparknotes.com/muchado/
There's the whole text of the play in modern English, and there's context to some confusing lines, like Beatrice's line about leading apes to hell, and it was very helpful to me. I wanted to understand everything :)

The book sounds like an interesting read indeed, as always with behind-the-scenes stories. I'd like to know how they ended up with David's costume at the party (the miniskirt, huge glasses, a pig mask etc). If I have a chance to ask David a question on a convention, that would probably be it :)

I originally made it for this entry: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/121734.html

But then I loved it so much I couldn't destroy it.
Happy New Year!
