Hiya!

Oh yeah! Countless times. At least the Kirk/McCoy scenes. So wonderful.

I really had not expected for them to go as far as they had been going. It blew me away.

I joined a Star Trek forum recently and we were talking about the episode and "how it was done" and guess what, there are some people from the crew on that forum so now I have it first hand! No CGI (as I first thought, a green sock), at the table there was a hole, and when walking on crutches, the leg was behind. Simple, but effective.

Also the campfire scene was very touching. I have to agree with everyone that Vic looked younger than ever. Not sure what they did this time.

There is also a new podcast at the podcast site, talking about this episode: http://trekgeeks.com/archives/2608

They say - and I absolutely agree with them there - that for me these two are no longer just copying Shatner and DeKelley - they ARE Kirk and McCoy. Fully accepted in their role. They get better and more comfortable from episode to episode. All of them actually.

Do you know that I have a ticket for Fedcon next year where both William Shatner as well as Vic Mignogna will be? I will have a picture with both captains ;)

Currently exploring his singing... Vic's, that is. Not Shatner's ;)

Oooh, that's nice to know. Smart FX, that's cool. I kept wondering how they did that and got to stay within the budget. I'm amazed that they actually went that far. It was a really touching episode and their effort and love come across the screen.

Green with envy now! I wish I could have the opportunity to meet them!

Apparently the explosion, when Kirk was hit, was made bigger with CGI. This is really Vic going down though. But his leg was all the old fashioned way, as well as the arm of that guy at the end. In a behind-the-scene video you can see the arm bound on the back of his shirt.

They say they bound Vic's leg as well. I hope he had not hop around all day long with that. Poor guy! As filming such a scene takes its time?

Still, when watching and looking closely, you can't see anything.

Also, remember the other guy we see in the tent, without an arm? He gets bandaged. I spotted it right away and I have been told that I was right - this is a man who really lost a limb. It looked too real to be fake. And in that minute I had to think about all those young American soldiers, coming home from Afghanistan and Iraq, without legs or arms.

At first watching, I thought something would happen in that moment when he got out the saw and pull them out of the dream. You really don't expect them going so graphic, but that's why it was so powerful. I can't wait to play this episode to my friends and see what they will be thinking.

Aw sorry to make you envious. I promise I will tell all about it afterwards. And post pictures. Not sure if that helps but at least I can share a bit? Maybe one day you'll get a chance as well. You never know.

For decades people thought they would never meet Richard Dean Anderson as he was so shy and didn't want to. Now you can't get rid of the guy LOL
