It is indeed very difficult holding a figure with one hand and taking pictures with the other. I end up taking lots of them to get one good one.
However, the hand in the first picture actually isn't mine. Someone from our group offered to hold for me and this is so much easier. So my advice would be, have a helping friend nearby?

May I ask where I can see your pictures? I always love to see the work of others, no matter which fandom. Or are you the Ian from Facebook? I befriended an Ian there recently but he has a different surname so I am not sure.

where I use Dr Who figures to re-enact pictures from a UK TV programme, now no longer produced, but was the longest running at about 27 years. Last of the summer wine was about three elderly men with time on there hands, and the things they got up to.
I have a small collection of figures, including the new 5 inch Sherlock, and hope to extend their outings this summer.
