Hi back!
Suppose it's not too surprising I picked the double initial, leftover desire to emulate the original. Plus, can probably have a lot of fun at parties to have the double H's, though I'm not too sure how and it's like I've been to a lot of parties.
Screw it, call me Hank.
Decided to, potentially, give myself an out on the whole secret identity issue. Yesterday I went down to City Hall and sign up with Mutant Registration. While the bill passed for it, it was never made 100% official, more or less just left open as an option for anyone willing to do it. Not wanting to crowd my New York counterparts fanfare, I figure if anyone puts 2 & 2 together, I can just fall back on my being a mutant.
It's not like there's an actual test to determine it, not publicly anyway. Only time anyone could potentially prove I wasn't one would be if a sentinel popped up. Even though it would classify me as a mutate and not a mutant, it would still try to capture or kill me so that would confirm it for most folks...though I'd prefer to avoid that option if at all possible.
It was running into
logan_x that gave me the idea. Still not sure what he's doing out here now but the mutant card is a handy one to play and going for the history of Spidey, we do get the same lousy public image.
To finish my bit, I dyed my hair black. Thinking of a more permanent change but I have to check into that first. The Jackyl, my "Dad", tried to alter my mental makeup and the only way I can figure he could make me more the way he wanted and less like my original would be to graft some of his own memories into me. It didn't take, if you've read enough of me you know why, but maybe some of his genetic skills might've come across. Mix that with Pete's scientific genius and I might have a few extra tricks up my sleeve.
Anyway, just wanted to keep anyone reading this apprised...
