Ok, so yeah, it's been awhile, right?
Has a job; r librarian. I also work for Dr. R and I would work for Chris if he had any grasp of time whatsoever. The Latin I'm translating for Dr. R's sort of test run is neat; the story is strange, it's Apollonius King of Tyre. Y halo thar daughterfucking. Other than that I have basically researched snakes I want to own some day and collected free vivaria, cooked some interesting things, and read a lot. I am a nerd. Hi. The most exciting thing to happen recently was taking Lily to the vet because of unexplained gastrointestinal phenomena; THAT was fun. She's fine, of course, but will probably not willingly get in the cat taxi again. Mostly I've just settled into a routine of living here and managing things. It's ok. I'm sort-of unhappy about a lot of things, but my pets and my apartment and to a lesser extent my job are winsauce.

The dogs you know, HT and Strongbad. They've been mine unofficially since before I graduated.
My room isn't that yellow, I just suck at cameras. Also, DEMON.
Strongfat makes this face in every picture.
Lily is a blink-cat. She can disappear at will.
She's so much shinier than my other cats, and she has a very foxy build and tail. She just looks like a wild critter of some kind.
This is my Owlbear. He was a stray that turned up nearly dead on someone's doorstep, dehydrated and bald from fleas. This kind freecycler vetted him, but couldn't keep him due to allergies, and I couldn't help but take him, I love black kitties and I wanted to be sure nothing happened to him, he'd already had vet care and one close shave. In most of these pics his arms are shaved so he could get transfusions, but now all his fur has gone back he's no longer black, but silver-stipled. It's quite odd.

New Owlybear. He's grown plenty, and he's the most effectionate of my cats, I think.
Jack is getting HUGE. And he's so...dense. Like he's made of sausage. He's not fat, just very solid and large for his age. When he play-tackles me I FEEL it.

Sophia. She's a wild-caught black racer that someone on the local herp board gave away. I haven't yet decided if I'll turn her lose after winter or keep her, she's a wonderful display snake and eats f/t very well, but I feel bad about having a wild-caught snake...still, she clutched soon after she was captured, and though they did a good job of feeding her up again I'd still be leary about turning her out before the cold-snap. So pretty, though, and so smart.

Richter! My beautiful baby bloodred cornsnake. I have a soft spot for red snakes; I had to have one. Best birthday snake ever.
He's eating well and growing insanely fast.

Ridiculously tiny. Yet again, a free snake from the herp boards. A "normal" type corn with beautiful maize-checkers. Very hyper too. I'll have another corn soon, a breeder surplus amel. Expect pics of him once he's here and settled.
SO TINY. The tiny makes me nervous.

I tried to take some pictures during their last bath (more like supervised bathtub playing, but still) but I only had my phone and they didn't turn out well...still, wet happy rats are awesome.

lols I have work waaaaay too soon. But my job's ok really. I may die of paper cuts though. And there's a Christian dude who thinks I'm uber-christian too because I'm a biblical scholar. It's both awkward and highly amusing. He also thinks Thom Yorke can sing. I HAD A NIGHTMARE THAT I COULD SEE THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN MUSE AND RADIOHEAD. Many other things about work are fun or funny, but I will not make this post even longer for their sake.
