Science.

I'm sitting in the science library not reading about linguistics or psychology or Benjamin Franklin for that matter, being unbearably cold and bored and tired. But mostly cold. I think I picked the most uplifting spot in the library sitting next to books with titles such as Death and Dying and The Meaning of Death.

Things have been getting away from me this week. I haven't been doing homework for any class besides Russian which I have been doing well in. I mean, getting average grades which is actually very challenging. I've begun staying up really late rehearsing foreign words with the common room ceiling in Pomeroy and doing assignments the morning they are due.

This also means I haven't been doing the reading for linguistics and psychology. In fact, I had to read a novella by J. D. Salinger by last Monday. Haha, yeah right. I didn't even know it was due. I will eventually finish it though. I need to work and get all this done. What's the use of taking classes if you don't get the maximum you can out of them? I'm such a freshman.

Mostly I have just been perfecting my study techniques for Russian. I have a method for vocabulary which works well enough, even if it does make me look a little crazy. However, I haven't quite perfected a way to actually remember Russian grammar. I'm thinking of doing a bunch of example before the next quiz, which I hope isn't this week.

In other news, I'm going to New York this Friday if everyone goes according to plan. I really hope Caroline can come. That would make the trip so much more fun. Plus, I need bonding time with my friends at Wellesley, whom I have been sadly neglecting. The only trouble is that the ticket to NYC is $78 departing and $96 arriving. Oh well, I shall use that extra money I have and ask for some from my dad, who is generally more receptive to those kind of requests.

I can't believe it's already October. A lot is happening this month. Anyway, I need to get back to work.
