Thought this was interested as most people don't realize just how much of a boys' club this county's top colleges used to be and just how recently this changed.
Harvard:
Established- 1636
Started admitting women- 1972
William & Mary:
Established- 1693
Started admitting women- 1918 (one year before we got the vote)
Yale:
Established- 1701
Started admitting women- 1969 (Now we know why they let Bush in but not Hillary)
Princeton:
Established- 1746
Started admitting women- 1969
Columbia:
Established- 1754
Started admitting women- 1983 (seriously, Kyle?)
UPenn:
Established- 1757
Started admitting women- 1876 (kudos! only one year after Wellesley was established!)
Brown:
Established- 1764
Started admitting women- 1971 (.....)
Dartmouth:
Established- 1769
Started admitting women- 1972
