So I started my last semester as a master's student this week.
I'm teaching calc 1 this semester, which is pretty awesome, I'm so sick of pre-calc.
Plus I'm only taking two classes (instead of 3, like the last 3 semesters), plus my master's paper class.
I'm taking Graph Theory 2 and Algebraic Topology. I'm really excited for Alg. Topo, because I really liked my Abstract Algebra classes last year.
Speaking of which, I took my Ph. D. comprehensive exam for algebra 1 this past Friday, and I'm pretty sure I aced it.
4 down, 6 to go. Unfortunately, those 6 are spaced into two consecutive school days. ugh.
Oh well, better than the 10 in two days like it was supposed to be!
I am so sick of all this snow. My landlord doesn't plow the driveway, and there are giant hedges on either side of the narrow part, so we can't really shovel it away... So we've just all been driving over it, which is fine for right now, but after tonight and this weekend, there will be too much! He had better come to his senses and have it plowed this weekend.
I don't remember if I said in my last post or not (or even if I knew it when I wrote the last real post), but Christine is having a baby! We found out last week that it's a girl, and I'm so excited! Too bad she lives in San Diego, though :( They are going to name her Brinley, which I think is pretty cute.
She is flying here in April and we are having a baby shower for her.
Carolyn and I are going to visit Christine, Dave, and our niece in August (she is due the beginning of June)
My parents and I are going to LA in March for Joe's graduation. We are flying to San Diego, picking Christine up, and driving to LA, then driving her back and flying back to Boston from San Diego (she won't be able to drive for that long, and Dave can't get the time off). I'm excited, because I really liked LA when we went for a day when we visited Christine last year.
I don't really have anything else to report. Colleen told me we should all go to Las Vegas when Jess and I graduate in May, but she hasn't mentioned in lately, so I don't think it's going to happen. I would rather go to Disney World! haha.
I've been playing Kingdom Hearts II (I actually manged to beat Kingdom Hearts I without my brother's help! I'm so pathetic, hahaha) but I'm worried, because it's rated E-10 (the first is just E), but I put it on easy. I'm seriously that bad. I'm surprised I can manage to beat Spyro and Harry Potter 2, 3, and 5.
Actually, Carolyn and I were playing Super Mario Bros for the Wii when I was home for winter break. We only have half of the final level left, and I'm going home this weekend, and hopefully we can beat it then. (of course, we have to start at the beginning of the level, which kinda sucks, but oh well...)
Okay, that's all.
