La Veritable Histoire

Dec 22, 2010 15:00

Yeah so I decided to go on a hunt for pictures from the documentary I posted the one shot of earlier, and here's what I came up with. A lot of them are youtube screenshots, but that was the best I could do. I will probably trim the pictures later and replace them with better ones, but I'm feeling lazy right now.

And there's a few other movie screenshots in there too because while there may not be elephants in them this time, every post totally needs Schwartzman.

A comparison shot from the beginning, showing her both in the Concierge prison and arriving at Versailles.

The King and Queen

Posing for the infamous portrait. She was pregnant with Sophie here

The Queen herself

Practically the whole thing was shot on greenscreen like this. It's really impressive.

Can't remember what this is, they were just being cute ok?

Seriously, even this part was kind of adorable. The way he turns to look at her after and snuggles up to her like that made my fangirly heart squee.

Another view of the portrait in progress. Keep in mind all that background is greenscreen!

The Dauphin and Dauphine make their first official entrance into Paris together.

Fleeing for her life from her own rooms, and finding Louis in the secret passageway. Apparently the door was locked initially and she was terrified that something had happened to him and she was going to be killed too.

Oddly, I really liked this part in the movie. I loved how the second the glass/windows broke he got up from the floor and stood in front of her and the children like this.

If you do not think this picture is adorable as all hell you can just GTFO right now.

Historical prom icon FTW

But hoooooney, I wanna dance more

Awww snuggles

This one just made me giggle

Picture of the Louis statue is Louisville, sent to me by a nameless lucky bugger who lives there

Antoinette with Madame Royale and baby Charles

Believe it or not, this one is from one of the...not so sucessful attempts. And then he just gets up and leaves!

I shouldn't like this part of the movie so much, but honestly I really do

The two oldest children with their parents. Joseph looks adorable and Therese looks terrified.

Louis consoling her after Joseph's death

Saying goodbye for the very last time

Not sure again what this was about, but isn't Charles cute?

Their trip to paris again

I love how they show the canvases like this

She's pregnant at last

Your standard issue awkward bed shot

PAAAAAARTY

Black and white shot of the royal couple

Burning the rude propoganda pamphlets

His facial expression=awesome. It's like he's thinkng "Ohhh wife, I love you but what are you doing now. And why is your hair pink"
