Trivial Issues Compare to What Happened...

This is what I wrote to TechCU:

I set up a new Windows PC.

This is what I need to do to access my First Tech CU, AmEx card, Chase credit cards, Bank of America Cards: I login to their sites using https://. They detect that I am on a new machine, asked me a couple challenge questions and off I go.

To use TechCU? First I reinstalled the "secured browser," then I needed to login with a "passcode," which of course I have forgotten. I emailed your tech support and he sent me the code in a message sent through your secured email, which.. requires a password. So I need to tell the secured mail system that I forgot my password, answered a couple challenge questions, then reset my password so I can read the secured email.

Got my passcode for the secured browser. Then I started the "secured browser" and then I am asked to input a new PIN. To set up the new PIN, it asked me a couple more challenge questions, which of course I have forgotten the answers to (REALLY? Your favorite teacher? What? All you customers are in their 20s?) So I have to call your tech support and of course have to respond to a few challenge questions over the phone.

Did I tell you that all these times, all the passwords and PINs have to be entered using a Virtual Keyboard and I have to use MiXEd cASes and #%$%0123?

Do you guys USE the software you want your customers to use?

Do Bank of America, AmEx, Chase banks know something you don't? Or do you know something they don't?

Yes, feel free to contact me.
