well cheaper aside, i'm kinda picky about how costumes look. most of the ones from factory is not good enough and inaccurate and sits on my body wrong >.>;;; if it's uniform i have no problem buying. (like say ouran host club outfits) but if it's complicated, most factory made or china made costumes leave out the important details. altering takes more time so i rather make my own lol. (sometimes it's cheaper to buy from ebay because of what materials i use OTL )
if i can buy, i have no problem buying though. if it's good quality and stuff. (I know some cosplayers are like omg no i dun buy from ebay~~~ but i'm like, i can make it just fine and if ebay is cheaper and looks better then the crap i sew, why not? it's not like i have to tell everyone 'zomg i can make my own costume so i'm better than you' or something) i swear cosplay community's drama is ridiculous >.>;
ah, how far are you into... the raw. it's technically within the next 2-3 chapters of where the scanlation ended. (I got so tired of waiting for the scans, i went ahead and downloaded all the raws and all the translations i can find OTL ) >.>; i'm obsessive.

Yeah, I saw some Varia costumes on eBay and they seemed to be lacking some details, or the colors and the varia patch are not quite right etc etc
Most costumes on eBay are around $100 x_X and then there are extra taxes when importing clothes from China, is it still cheaper than handmade clothes? oO
I'm at chapter 24b, didn't want to spoil myself with raws...unless there's a full translation script out there?

and since if they bash you, they are bashing YOUR FACE or body so of course ppl are prissy pfff... there's a lot of jealous people out there. it's a disgusting dramafest, trust me >.> where there's both ugly jealous people and arrogant pretty jealous people. it's hard to find a nice one. (Nice ones are usually dumb oblivious cowards >.>;;; ) /i'm so full of sarcasm today OTL... (but there are nice ones out there. just kinda have to pick through and look harder >.> I think i'm just jaded. )
hmm the fabric in america is about $7-11 per yard so it can get up there pretty fast. (fabric from china is like.... $1-2 per yard OTL ) i dunno how much fabric cost in germany... (at least when i checked your profile it says you're in germany) so if you make your costume in china, it'll only cost you like $20-50. in america, that's like $200 >.>; due to the price difference in material.
PS : my costumes range from $80-600. >.>;;; most of my costumes are average $200. (that's including contacts, wigs and boots/shoes as well as the costume itself of course)

Hm okay, I once bitched at some Xanxus and Squalo cosplayers, but that's because they only put on some wigs and spammed some communities with that, but I'd never go so far as to pick on their exterior DDDD:

well i just have to remind myself, this is for FUN. not for anyone else but for MYSELF and just stick with it and have fun.... despite the retardedness around me. cosplay IS very fun. if you're with the right friends. just like any other fandom really. I just make sure i pick my friends for their inner personalities rather then looks.
ahahaha yeah that's about right. $6-25.... depending on quality... and yes it's such an expensive hobby, i can't really have any other hobby >.> (and adding airplane tickets, car gas, hotel fees, convention tickets.....)

rofl.... you want to know? XD XD you might get spoiled easily. it's kind of a big deal when it appeared as raw, and there were several posts about it... last year OTL (it's been more than a year already ugh slow scans are slow)

How stupid is that? I mean, you can never ever look like an anime character, because their faces are unrealistic and what not. I don't understand...
Not only half-assing and trolling, they were mostly kissing in the cosplay photos and that looked like they were showing off with their relationship and stuff, that's something we don't need in the fandom =_=

Oh right, I think i skimmed somewhere you were er muslim? i think? i had a friend who covers her head with veil and she wanted to cosplay back in college lol. i asked her if she's wearing wig, if it's okay since it's covering her hair, she said no, she still needed to cover the wig lol (which was kinda cute actually XD) so we brainstormed every single anime character that covers their face and hair and wears a hood. and came up with zelgadiss from slayers. (the icon i'm using is zel~ without the hood but~)
sadly she was like 'no way i can do blue make up' so we gave up on that idea rofl.... that made me laugh for awhile.
i also buy a ton of merchandise and manga too OTL... i love collecting manga, and tons of toys... like figures.... at least i stopped on dollfies. that really does drain your money... what do you collect specifically? i'm curious.

It's actually on the side of the main community. i think it's called "download" or something like that. oofuri community is SO organized... when i first became a mod, i kinda petitioned to have the reborn community like that and i failed OTL... (mostly because everyone said reborn comm is too big and it wouldn't work. oofuri comm is much smaller. sigh.. i also envy durarara community's tag system too... trying to convince all the mods to fix our tag system at this moment >.>;;; )

I've watched some shows on TV about people who had plastic surgery or let their boobs get 5 times their size (and more), and these people think they are pretty....
Even though the surgery 'cause them pain and makes them look unhuman...

Living with a frown on your face sucks. I had a pissed off look on my face all the time before plucking my eyebrows and it's given me a headache all my life, because people always misread my mood or were too scared to approach me.
I'm sure it's the same with the frown, people back off when they can't read one's mood from the face.
Yeah muslim. I also have to cover my throat, not only hair, lol, so cosplaying would be a little bit difficult. Although that can be dealt with collars.

What I don't like for example is anime download, anime discussion, anime whatever, why not tagging everything just as "anime" or as "manga"? oô

Yeah, true, it's their own life, but when I hear that they suffer from their surgeries and still are glad they made this decision, I can't help but hit my head against a wall for their stupidity.

I can feel your pain, really. I've been only ONE mod in a huge forum, I could rule the shit the way I wanted, but when 7-8 mods were added, it took a looong looong time to get anything done, because no one was satisfied with and of the suggestions *drop*
