Vidding ~ Textures on Wmm & vid sizes on Sv Pro
Hey everyone !
I hope y'all are doing good! It's a beautiful, sunny & hot day here in Belgium!
So, first of all, again, i want to say a huuuuge Thank You to the great Ashley (Ashdoode) Because in my last post, i was desperate, i've even abandonned all hope to be back the Vidding business due to serious issues with my programs. I didn't see any shooting stars that night when i posted the entry but my wish has been accomplished. I'd say, Ash saved me on that thing. And not to mention, she's an amazing vidder!
In one comment, she offered her help & it solved everything in so simply ways!
I can't still believe it so if i'm back in business today and if i can have this feeling in your heart that you can't even explain with words when you're editing a video, it's 'cause of her & my awesome friend Kay (kjcharmed). So i really owe something to both of them!
2nd of all, sorry for (again) posting a "help entry" but I've tried to solve it by myself & it didn't work obviously so maybe it's too much to ask but i think it's worth a try!
Btw, Like i said, i'm back in vidding business, i'd like to learn everything i can to become such a great vidder. So if you have any advices or good place to check out about effects & more, just leave a word in the comment section below! And, i'm finalizing a vid. It's a new style for me, i've never worked that way before & it's my 1st vid in (almost) 1.5year so i hope you'll like it. Of course i will post the vid on my lj & on the community when it will be ready to get online. For now, i'm still working on it, rearranging the sound & trying to figure out how to get my very own personalized & original tag! =D So stay tunned, it's coming soon!
But, i have 2 different probs & i hoope someone will help me out with this. I don't unerstand why it always has to happen to me seriously 0_0

1) Textures on Windows movie maker
My friend Kay & i have worked on this for hours. I'd love to created my own textures on Wmm for my vid. 'Cause Kay uses her own texture & i think it gives such a beautiful effect to a vid. She tought me how to add a txeture on wmm. Thing is, it's not working on my program. We tried again & again, but still.
Example:
- I have what i like to call a "Code File" where there's this "Add own image name" at some places & i just change that line with the name of my picture.
- That code file has to be saved as "....Xml" & my picture as to be saved as "....png"
- Once it's done, I close the code file.
I have a folder with my textures & codes so i place that texture & its code file in it.
** Here you can see that i replaced the name & saved as xml ...

** Here the Code file of the texture (saved xml) & my texture (saved png) ...

- And then i go there : Computer/c:/program files/movie maker/shared
And i copy/Past the 2 files (texture-code) there!
== So the effect should be available in the effect section of wmm. It should, but it doesn't!
(** Also, with my system vista 64bits, i have "programs files (86)" where there's also a wmm folder so i tried it too : ..../shared/addonTFX but it doesn't change anything. I even dl'd a nice effect that automatically saved in there but i don't think it's the right place. I think the right one is the "program files" folder ;)
ps: Can we apply textures on sony vegas pro too?! ^^
2)(SOLVED) Saving a file in it's original (hq & fullscreen) size with Sony Vegas Pro 9
Another trouble :s Like i said, i'm editing a vid but i don't know enought to use sv pro for cutting all the clips quickly etc & i had some skills left from wmm, so i edited my vid with wmm. my episodes of Spn are in a high quality & of course, it's full screen. When i saved my edited vid with wmm, it saved it as it's original size! Exactly what i wanted :)
But i wanted to had voice-overs & a little coloring, that i can't do for now on wmm, so i gave it a try on sv pro! It worked the way i wanted about those effects! but the prob is when i have to save my vid still as it's original hq & full screen quality!
I know that some of my friends who are amazing vidders can do it so why not me Oo
When i save my vid, it's saving it in a 4/3 resolution (with a 16/9 in it) no matter what's the dimension i chose in the properties of the vid & no matter if the screen in the program has made the change, once it's saved i don't have the right result. Yesterday i've solved the prob but it's obvious now that i didn't. Let me explain this in picture ;)
Btw, I'd like to say (again) a big thank you to 2 awesome girls & brilliant vidders,

**** -- to get the settings I have to save your videos:
1) Go to "File"
2) From there, click on "Properties"
3)Under "Video", click on the dropdown menu for "Template" and then click on the first "HDV" setting you see. In this case, it's "HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps)"
4) Then, under "full-resolution rendering quality" click on "Best"
5) The "Motion Blur Type" should be "Guassian"
6) Click in the box for where it says "Adjust source media to better match project or rendering settings"
THEN press Apply and then OK.
Next -- when you are ready to actually render your video:
1) Go to "File"
2) From there, click on "Render As"
3) In the "Save As Type" drop down box, click on "Windows Media Video V11 (*.wmv)"
4) Make sure that "Render Loop Region only" is NOT CLICKED!
5) Press "Save" and let vegas render it for you! ****

Honestly, i don't know what to do, I can't finish my vid & i think my friends here are the most qualified people to help me out with this if they want to of course! Not the mention, helping me out everytime like this, i don't even have a word to say how nice it is & amazing to see that Spn has the best fandom ever 'cause everyone get along so well & always ready to help even if i really feel embarrassed for always begging people for help.
