I wonder if we (meaning the majority of fandom) actually don't represent what America likes and wants when it comes to TV. LJ is inundated with fans of good shows like BSG, Veronica Mars, and the list goes on. But these shows don't get nominated! I guess they just don't appeal to the demographic that networks are looking for - although my gut feeling tells me that if people would only watch these shows, they would enjoy them.
ETA: I didn't realize that Project Runway was nominated for best reality show! What rock have I been living under?
