and you did really well with the more serious part of it, too. germany's desire to do well for his countrymen and to make them proud again is beautifully done; very poignant. and australia's simplicity; his way of just taking life as it is is a brilliant portrayal of him and really authentic. i guess that's how i would describe the entire fic? very authentic, very real. you're really a brilliant writer, man, honest.
