(no subject)
life has been nice lately.
camp just feels sleepy and low key this year. have some good friends back again, but miss old ones, too. overwhelming good vibe that this is it for me at camp - so that's kind of liberating, i guess. i can really see how i've grown when looking at what i brought this year. i started off working at camp bringing tons of devo books and bible verse posters and tonsssss of clothese, but lights and decorations.... all the crap i felt i needed as a counselor. then, a few years later, the andrea and dana years, i bought tons of stuff to keep us busy and happy in our little den in the nurses.... sewing supplies for the summer of quilts, tons of books and movies (center stage again, anyone?) this summer, i brought a fish and two computers. though it seems i am descending into lameness, it's ok. i feel really good, even if i am 25 and farely uninterested in most of what's going on here. in a good way.
my dear friend and apartment protecter, meka, has got us coldplay tickets for september. now this is a very good thing. i just wish that the new album was more like the old ones, less like tears for fears. don't get me wrong, i love "Shout" and "Head Over Heels" but not when i'm expecting Politik and Shiver. oh chris martin, how i love your voice though...
i bought a new computer - a mac. it's pretty cool, but i'm looking forward to really getting to use it. so far, all i've done is create a hysterical (to me) dvd... but it's definitely better than my devil laptop of old, the frying pan.
david sedaris is coming to the b'ham borders in two weeks - that's pretty awesome.
