could it be the most wonderful day ever?
it begins like this...
sleep in in my wonderful bed, the most comfortable bed ever.
wake up and do a little quilting. stop quilting when my friend meka comes over in the middle of a run. we just sat and chat for a bit.
after, i put on appropriate attire for RUNNING!! well, let's be honest. walking. as i leave my apt for some exercise, i realize two things. it is the most GORGEOUS day i have ever seen. i am warm in my yoga pants and teeshirt. i should be wearing shorts. it's awesome. sunshine everywhere. second, my school's track meet is going on just down the street at Grady High School (whose stadium was used in filming Remember the Titans). i walk up there instead of going straight to the park. spend some QT with the kiddoes at the track meet. They were so excited to have a fan cheering them on! students i didn't even know were hugging me.
after the meet, i resumed original plan to go walking. walked for a bit all around the park - it was hopping! HUGE st. patty's day fete at the Park Tavern plus everyone in atlanta was out just because it was our first nice day since forever. when i got home, i was sweaty and get this! sun kissed! ok - a little burnt... pre-tan pink really.
went to borders to read for a while - had a hard time getting into the parking lot because it is across from City Hall East, where they were transporting the killer.
i love atlanta!
