A city Police officer just came in to our store wanting to return an item for refund. The item was purchased well over six months ago. Our store refund policy which is printed on the receipt which he didn't provide, clearly states that refunds will be given if item is returned within 15 days ( Read more... )

Wanting to be a fellow Officer myself.... I would call and let the chief know that one of his officers was rude and made a verbal threat to you. I agree just because he has a badge/sheild it doesnt give him all power to use it... Did he say he was an officer? was he in uniform? plain clothes and flash his badge? If he was in uniform then that could be cause for reporting him... It's guys like him that make it hard for us "Good Guys" to keep a positive outlook on Police Officers to the public.... *HUGS*

he pulled up in a cruiser in full uniform. His partner was in the car...waiting for him on my tax dollar.

I should also point out that we have many customers on the police force...all of them good customers who treat us well....sme of them act macho...but always speak to us with respect.

With him being in uniform then he should be reported... It's a fine line of official oppression possibly... I cant say it "is" but its a fine line... And if you feel it was a verbal threat then also include that in reporting...
Official oppression -- 1. A person is guilty of official oppression if, being a public servant and acting with the intention to benefit himself or another or to harm another, he knowingly commits an unauthorized act which purports to be an act of his office, or knowingly refrains from performing a duty imposed on him by law or clearly inherent in the nature of his office.
