Week 2 of maternity leave, sort of getting used to this being at home business.
Actually it is nice to feel more relaxed and rested than I did whilst still driving and going to work.
Couldn't really drive just now if I tried, its not so much the size of the bump its more the pain in my lower back and various "parts" that would make it hard.
Midwife appointment at 3pm today, Hubby is coming home from work to take me and then we might nip to have a cuppa with friends who live locally.
My lower back and the bump is tense all the time but I'm still not feeling enough twinges to think anything is starting.
We've tried curry, pineapples, sex, walking and I am sure a few other things but this bub is just too comfortable in there!
Just spoke to a friend who noted a strong coffee or a good G&T worked for her to kick things off. I've had a good strong coffee once in the last 9 months and the baby went bananas so perhaps that might work, maybe it would wriggle about enough to "shift" itself???
I do have a maternity tens machine to use during labour, I wondered if I put it on to help with the back pain it might trigger some contractions???
I think my brother might come up with his fiance on Friday anyway, baby or no baby so we can at least see him and say cheerio before he heads off in Sept.
I'm surprised at how content I am to be waiting for the baby, I thought it would drive me demented. If we weren't all so keen for it to be out before my brother goes I would be quite relaxed just now and that is WIERD for me.
I guess all things considered if bub isn't shifting I'll only get to the 6th Sept and they will move things on for me. So at most only another 12-14 days to go before we meet our baby.
