Author Note: I also don´t own Avril Lavigne, the son "I Miss You" or the video. This was my entry for the march challange on Wiki.
It sickened him to watch that boy touch his son. Holding his hand or placing an arm around his waist. He had to swallow hard to keep the bill down as he watched that boy kiss his son. He gripped the steering wheel a little tighter and spoke in a low voice: ”Don´t worry son, I´ll take care of that boy and then I´ll help you become the man, you were born to be. A true Grimaldi.”
He turned the engine on and watched as the boys stepped out onto the street.

All was great in the world of Luke and Noah. Noah had forgiven Luke and they had finally made love. Now Noah had asked Luke to move in with him and Luke had happily accepted. They were walking home from a late movie, walking hand in hand and talking about what colors they were going to paint there now apartment in.
They walked out onto the empty street but before they could cross it, Noah pulled Luke tight to his body and whispered: ”I love you Luke.”
”I love you too,” whispered Luke before he felt Noah´s lips on his. They kiss was sweet and when Luke pulled back, he placed his forehead against Noah´s and looked deep into his eyes. ”I can´t wait till we get our apartment,” said Luke.
”One week,” said Noah. ”One week and we´ll be living together.”
”I can´t wait,” said Luke and pressed another soft kiss to Noah´s lips before reluctantly pulling back and graping his hand. They started to walk towards the truck, when suddenly a car turned its headlights on and drove right at them.
”NOAH!” yelled Luke and quickly pushed Noah out of the way. He froze as he saw the car coming towards him.
”LUKE!” yelled Noah from where he had fallen on the ground. He watched as Luke was hit by the car. The impact was so big that he was thrown onto the windshield and rolled down the passenger side of the car as the car turned to the left and drove away.
Noah watched as Luke was hit by the car and hit the ground hard. For a few seconds he could hear nothing besides his own heart, beating quickly in his chest. It felt like it was coming out of his chest.
He slowly got up and walked to his boyfriend. He couldn´t believe the sight that meet him. Luke was lying on the ground with scrapes in his head. His right leg was bent in an unnatural position and Noah new that it was broken.
”Noah!” Noah could hear Luke calling him in a small voice and saw that he was still conscience. He bent down and couldn´t help the gasp that left his mouth.
“Noah! Are you hurt?” Asked Luke before he started to cough, it sounded like he could barely breathe.
“Noah!” Luke said again when Noah didn´t answer him. Noah could hear him gasping for air.
“Shhh, baby, don´t speak.” Said Noah and brushed the hair away from Luke´s eyes. He grabbed his hand and kissed it.

Noah could see Luke´s eyes were starting to close. “Noah, I love you.”
“No you don´t Luke, you don´t say goodbye.” Said Noah and felt the tears starting to form in his eyes. Luke´s breathing was getting more gasping now.
“LUKE!” yelled Noah as he watched Luke close his eyes. “I love you too, I love you so much. But you´ve got to stay awake. Come on baby, open your eyes.”
Luke opened his eyes briefly and smiled at Noah before they closed again and his hand went limp in Noah´s.
“NOOOO!” yelled Noah as an ambulance pulled up beside them. Noah looked around and saw that a few people had gathered around them, he could see the sorrow in their faces. He was roughly pushed out of the way by the paramedics.
He watched as they worked on Luke before they placed him on a stretcher and pushed into the ambulance. Noah quickly got in and once again took Luke´s hand in his.
They arrived at the hospital and Noah was left in the waiting area as Luke was pushed into surgery. “NOAH!” he hears Lily yell as she, Holden, Lucinda and Emma entered the waiting room. “What happened? What happened to Luke?”
“The car …. It just …. He pushed me …. And then it hit …. “ Emma looked at Noah and pulled him into a hug. “Shhh,” she soothed. “Take a deep breath and tell us what happened.” Noah told the story and soon they all slumped in the chairs in the waiting area.
They all fell silent, waiting for news about Luke.
They all stood quickly when Dr. Hughes came towards them with a sorrow filled expression on his face. Noah didn´t want to think about what that expression meant.
For a few seconds Dr. Hughes just looked at them. It seemed like he was catering courage to say what he needed to say.
“I´m sorry,” he said and they Noah watched as everyone around him seemed to fall apart. “I want to see him,” Noah said quietly. He didn´t think anyone heard him but Dr. Hughes looked at him and just nodded his head.
They walked down the hall, Noah felt like he was in a bubble. He could hear Lily crying and cursing God for taking her baby away from him, but it felt like she was far away.
Suddenly Dr. Hughes stopped in front of a door. He looked at Noah and Noah could see the pain and sorrow in his eyes before the old doctor walked away, leaving Noah standing alone in front of the door that separated him and Luke. Noah took a deep breath and raised his hand, slowly pushing the door open.
What he saw hit him so hard that he almost stumbled backwards, but slowly he made his way towards the still body in the bed.
There was Luke, looking almost asleep.
Still breathtakingly beautiful.
Noah collapsed in the car next to the bed and grasped Luke´s hand like it was his lifeline.
The events of what happened came rushing back over him and suddenly he felt the tears in his eyes. He felt his heart shatter into a million pieces, and he knew that he would never be able to put them back together again.
He put his head to Luke´s chest, wanting desperately to hear the steady beating of his heart. When he heard no sound, he broke down and couldn´t stop the tears.
He didn´t know how long he had been sitting there before he felt a hand on his back, making slow, soothing circles. He looked up and looked into the eyes of Holden.
“It should have been me,” he whispered and once again the tears fell from his eyes. He felt Holden pull him to his body and rocked him, offer comfort.
“It was an accident,” he heard Holden whisper in his ear and again he broke down. Clinging to Holden, wanting to grasp the comfort Holden offered.
Together they stood by Luke´s bedside, comforting each other in their time of sorrow.
Knowing that nothing would ever be the same again.
