Rambling

Dec 08, 2008 21:39

I feel a bit like rambling at the moment, so I thought I'd bring you all up to date on the rotation and a few other things.

Well I have finished laying the Simdon lots now.  This leaves the Grundstroms in Bluewater and the 4 university lots to play before the rotation is finished and I'm back in the main house.  I think that I'm going to start work on chapter 17 once I'm back from New York, plus I want to get Joe's punishment shot too.  Lots to do really.

Anyway I've finished playing Alexandra's house now, and she doesn't appreciate the neighbours complaining about the dirty dishes in the dining room.

"Yes you do realise, do you not sir, that I was in the middle of potty training my daughter?  Go away."

I just love this next picture:

Don't ask me why, I just do.

This one is also very sweet.

Yes she's prgnant with an Anthony baby.

The last night in the house, the twins grew up:

Chris still looks like his father and is a tub pirate.

I actually really don't like this hair on Bethany, but I couldn't remember what hair I had decided on for her as an adult, and nothing struck me when I was looking.  I will change it once she is a teenager because it does nothing for her.

See?  She needs something that frames her face I think.

Oh and four hours before I exited the house, this little chap showed up.

Anthony Baby squeee.  His name is David, and I was slightly disappointed that he doesn't have Anthony's eyes.  Then I thought, actually it's nice he has Alexandra's and William's eyes.  Then I thought they're Allyn's too.  Squeeeee Allyn's great grandson has her eyes!

Alexandra and Anthony will be having at least one more child though to see if I can keep Anthony's eyes in the family this generation.

Next house was Evie's where Barty grew up:

I think that he looks very unique.  And adroable.

Evie also had a little girl:

Her name completely escapes me at the moment, but she's a sweetie, and a red head.

Last house was the Newsons.  I don't have many pictures because, well it was manic.  The game kept insisting on sending the teenager I wanted to stay at home to school, and wouldn't let me send the other instead.  I survived the toddler years though and everyone should be able to go to school from now on.

They may live in a slum, but they are a fun family to play, if more than a little challenging.

Poor Ginger did keep having nightmares though.  Things will hopefully be looking up for them now that there are no toddlers in the family.  Incidently, anyone else as disturbed as me by the amount of make up on Georgia?  I was shocked when she grew up in blue eye shadow.

I have also been working on the sets for Joe's punishment.

This is the set I said I'd finished last week.  Basically I wasn't completely happy with it, so went back in and added another tier.  It looks much better now.  It is a residentail lot, and the Warrior Princess family has moved in.  I was in a ...funny mood when I came up with a couple of surnames yesterday.

The last set I've done is home to Miss Voodoo Chile.  Told you it was a funny mood.

Since this isn't cannon, my simself gets to be modern again, so I've had to look for a suitable hair style.  I've found this one by Helga, which apart from the odd fringe and colour is almost identical to how my hair is cut in RL.

I just wish i could find a brown recolour more like my own hair colour.  Can you believe out of the three colours in the brown bin, none are what I would actually call brown?  This one is more plum, the second one is definitely red, and the third sandy.  Ah well.  i might also see if I can edit the fringe so it doesn't do the going up in the middle thing.

Anyway that's it from me really at the moment, apart from to say I'm getting very excited about Friday, so this probably doesn't make much sense.

ETA:

So there I was complaining that I couldn't find that Helga hair in a colour similar to mine, when I was obviously being blind.  I dashed over to MTS2 to try again, and found this recolour by IcedMango:

It's even got my highlights spot on, and the fringe is better.  So there you go this is my simself looking a lot more like my real self than you normally see her.
