Notes: I've been starting at this for days, and have edited it several times, so I decided it was time to post. Oh and this gives me Myshuno.

“Sophia, you will get your dress wet.”
Sophia looked over at her mother. “I am watching Uncle Luca’s fish Mama.” They were sitting in the courtyard of Guiletta’s sister’s villa on the outskirts of SimFlorence, and whilst Guiletta and Lauren were enjoying being in the shade of the veranda, reading or working on needlepoint, Sophia was laying by the side of the ornamental pond at its centre, fascinated by the multitude of fish she could see swimming there.
Guilietta laughed, and put her embroidery down. “My dear, why? You do not show this enthusiasm for the fish in the pond at home,” she said as she sat down next to her.
Sophia wrinkled her nose, but never took her gaze off the silvery darting shapes in the water. “That is because I cannot see the fish in Papa’s pond. The water is too murky, and they hide.”
“You can see the fish?” asked Lauren. Sophia nodded, and Lauren threw her book down before scrambling up and rushing to her sister’s side.
Guiletta gave an indulgent smile as she looked at the two identical heads, bowed low over the water. “That one is called Robert,” said Sophia pointing at one of the fish. “And that one is Bartholomew.” She pointed at another, identical looking fish.
“I think he looks more like a Duncan,” said Lauren.
“No he does not!” Sophia was indignant as she answered.
Guiletta swivelled, and lay down so that she too was flat on her stomach by the pool. “I think that this one looks like Duncan, do you not agree?”
Sophia pursed her mouth in thought. “Yes, I suppose so. Lauren, you can call that one Duncan. But I think I am going to call that one, Hugh.”
As the three of them continued to name the fish in the pond (sometimes naming the same fish several times), Guiletta decided that she needed to speak to Matthew about building an ornamental pond in the centre of the carriage circle once they got back to Simland.
