Picspam as promised!

I’m not going to be sharing lots of pictures from the last rotation, or even doing them in the new look I was working on, for a couple of simple reasons. One, I played this rotation very quickly, and took hardly any pictures because I want to get on with the rebuild and two, thanks to that rebuild things look a bit odd in Regalton at the moment. As part of the rebuild, I’ve completed Project Refit and also went and removed all of Nouk’s original colours from my hair folder, meaning that with a few hairs for my blokes, all the hairs I have in game are now in the colours I use from Pooklet’s palette. I’ve also made various improvements on pieces of cc (such as rescaling Nani’s neighbourhood deco from MTS) since I last played the neighbourhood. This means that I’ve pulled quite a bit of my cc lately and, well things look a little strange.

“What? What is this strange garment I’m wearing? Where is my lovely long cloak?  I feel positively under-dressed.”

I had a couple of big events this rotation, all of which I was looking forward too, but the one that I think made me smile and squee the most occurred over at Dargent House II. Yes, nearly the entire neighbourhood was invited to the wedding of Mr Ezra Howard and Miss Bethany Smith.

The actual wedding in the chapter will be completely different to this one, but I’m sure no one will mind about seeing more than one wedding for these two.

Of course, not all the guests were happy.

“Why am I wearing this drab thing? Where is my lovely evening gown that looks like the night sky?”
Ah, yes poor Celly was a victim of Project Refit. I originally refitted the texture of her dress to another mesh for last year’s legaversary shoot, but made a new mesh with puffed sleeves when I got back to refitting the rest of the 1860s ball gowns from AAS. I pulled the original refit and hadn’t been into Celly’s lot to change her dress at this point.

Alexandra was not amused by several things.

“What is Celestia wearing? For that matter, what am I wearing? I know you like this dress and I have worn it several times, but it is clearly a late 1890s gown, and you have, systematically been making sure that everyone is wearing bustle era gowns (both of the first and second bustle eras, since I understand that it is difficult to find enough of either to stick to just the 1870s or 1880s), so why am I still wearing this and not the nice pale blue evening gown I have been wearing in the story?”

Erm.

“And while I am at it, why is not everyone paying attention to my daughter getting married?”

Er, you’re all sims? And watching kicky bag is more interesting than watching a wedding? Don’t worry Alexandra, I’ll make it up to you. Not only will everyone pay attention to their wedding in the story, but you will also get to see them get wed again in the new neighbourhood. I’m determined to get you permaplat by having all six of your children marry.  So, it's all good, see?

And what was her erstwhile brother doing while bookended by two glaring women?

"Lalala, I'm smiling because I'm smiley Eddie and it's what I do."

But the event did go off ok in the end.  At least the two main people didn't seem to mind too much that not everyone was watching.

How gorgeous is Bethy's dress?  A HUGE thank you to Cait for it.  It's wonderful.

The first thing that they did once the ceremony was over?

They are such a family/pleasure couple.  :D

Last few pics from their house.  I love them so much.  :D

(These pics were all taken before i added the invisible ring default and made Bethy a gorgeous custom ring)

If you have not melted into a puddle of goo, then there is no hope for you.

Onto some other houses now.  I took hardly anything in the main house, but Emmy grew up from a cute child to a beautiful teenager.  She actually didn't do too badly on the clothing front (it's not great, but I've seen worse),but obviously completely unsuitable for the era, so she's in something much better now.

You can see by her lunch, that Carmen's experimenting with new foods now.

Onto A&A's house now, where the neighbourhood is looking a little empty and it turns out that Sarah Jane and Mickey don't like each other.  Personally, I think that they clash because their ppersonalities are so similar.

(This was when I asked her to apologise since I was getting annoyed with the slapping).

I also decided to have her try to play with Mickey, and water balloon fight was one of the few things she could do.  It didn't go well.  he stormed off.

Not that I blame him, look at her face.

Onto the university now.  It was Stuart's first year and every time I looked at him, I was reminded of how much I love that little sim.

Over in the Legacy Society, things were pretty quiet as I got the boys to the point where they could graduate.

Of course there was also an unwelcome visitor at one point:

Demi was the police officer sent, which kinda disappointed me because it meant I didn't get to see Dorian or Ramin in their swish new uniforms.

She did win though, so that was good.

Of course, since Bertie is a pop sim, he had to have quite a few get togethers over the year.  I admit, I giggled  slightly when Stuart went and sat by himself in the study.

It was looking at David this day that I decided that I really do need to change his eyebrows.  They worked when he was younger, but the arch is too pronounced now. I do have a set in mind, but because I don't like how the original creator made the blonds, I have to redo them using the textures I made in Pooklet's colours, and I don't feel like doing that just at the moment.  Once I@m adding my sims to the neighbourhood I'll do it.

Both Bertie and Stuart take after Eddie (and Marielle) in the primping stakes.  And I didn't realise I have them in very similar pyjamas until putting this picspam together.

Bertie's graduation party was a huge success, and he got his roof raiser.  Have a few pictures from the party itself.

So much in this one.  This is so typical of my sims right now.

And one last picture of him in his growing up clothes.  Not too shabby at all.

Peter and Andrew also got to have roof raisers but Peter's was dominated by stalking and frozen faces.

And yes, this is Doc and Theo stalking each other as Peter is growing up.

"Bye then son."

"What, you're going now?"

"Yep.  We've stayed a while and stalked each other doing silly gestures.  now it's time to head for home and stalk each other some more.  See ya!"

Poor Peter didn't fare too well in the clothing stakes.

Andrew's party also went well, like I say.

"My sons could have done so much worse."

Just as the party timer got down to half a minute to go, the cow turned up, much to everyone's amusement.

"You're in for it now.  My son doesn't have many nice points."

(You can tell that this is where the timer ran out since everyone starts leaving.  And yes, this does mean that Andrew's last action at uni is shooing away the cow mascot.  Kinda fitting really, since Doc is the one who made me aware that the mascot trophy exists.)

Like his brother, Andrew didn't do that great in the clothing stakes.

And that's all the picspam I have from this rotation.   The rebuild is now well under way, and I'm adding the new townies to both the new neighbourhood and the new dummy hood.  I'm hoping I'll be able to give you more of an update on that soon, and that I'll also be at the point I can start looking at the next set of chapters too.  Until then, happy simming!
