some considerations on a new journal

Okay.  I want to create a journal for strictly posts about nature which I would update with things about what I've done after my master naturalist program is complete.   I need it to be completely separate so that I can give the address to people in my class or random people I volunteer with and not frighten them by stumbling upon fandom smut and fandom communities.   Originally,  I wanted to do this on my DW journal and use some of the fancy filters there, but people could still see the communities I add.

So how should a relatively technotarded person go about doing this?   Should I open a new journal on DW and direct some non-fandom traffic over there?   No-ads is a nice draw.   One of the nature preserves/farms I volunteer on for prairie restoration belongs to a gay couple and I don't want gays-are-teh-evil! ads showing up if I post about he and his partners georgous place.   I could do Blogger if I am interested in trying to eventually draw google traffic I guess.   But I'm not really wanting fly-by attention.  I just want to have a place to record my sort of jouney in nature study.

GRRR.  ARGH.   What to do, what to do.
