The thing about flying the ships into the sun really pissed me off. The only possible reason for it was Apollo somehow got a copy of _Chariots of the Gods_ and figured out that's what their show was based on.
For me the greatest tragedy of the series was that they decided Felix was gay, and then they wussed out and put it in the webisodes only. Come on Scifi, don't put a great character in the celluloid closet!

No kidding. But then, it's remarkable (in the completely predictable sense of "remarkable") that writers imagining a different reality rely so completely on modern, totally mainstream conventions.
