HUGE rec for "This Crumbling Pageant" by Patricia Burroughs

Dear LJ friends

You may or may not be aware that our dear friends at Story Spring Publishing have brought out a new book, this one the first in a projected trilogy.

The story concerns a girl on the verge of womanhood, trying to find her role in a confusing and dangerous world, where she must choose the correct path, often turning against everything she has been taught to believe is right and true. There's plenty of magic, adventure, drama, a touch of romance, and world-building that convinces at every turn, but above all a rip-roaring yarn which will carry you from beginning to end without wanting to put it down!

For my friends here, who were brought together - mostly - by a particular pairing in a particular fandom, I should add that the dynamic which seemed to us so right there, is present in these new characters in this new book - it's something that we will recognise and thrill to.

So please, do support Story Spring, which itself grew out of relationships forged through fandom, and buy "THIS CRUMBLING PAGEANT" and - very importantly - please SPREAD THE WORD! Both the book and the publisher deserve it!

"THIS CRUMBLING PAGEANT" is available through Amazon, B&N, and Kobo.
