Hizashi looked over at his twin, giving him an utterly gorgeous, loving smile as he drove back to the younger's loft by the San Francisco Bay. The second Hiashi eased the Bentley to a stop in front of a traffic light, Hizashi leaped, gently biting down on the tender flesh of his lover's neck, purring and sucking on that soft skin, the desire to mark his twin as his insatiable. At his brother's questioning look once the light turned green, Hizashi merely shrugged innocently, nonchalantly, and said, "I missed a spot", turning to face forward in the cushy leather seat as the elder pressed his foot down on the accelerator.
He'd be punished for that one later. Hizashi couldn't wait.
Hiashi touched his marked neck, wishing that he'd gone with less casual clothes. He was wearing a well tailored dress shirt and a pair of simple, navy slacks, not even a jacket and tie to try to hide the marks that Hizashi had littered all over his pale skin. "I'm going to look like a fucking diabetic," Hiashi grumbled, though he caught Hizashi's hand and smirked a little, not really caring that much. It would be rude to flaunt his renewed relationship with Hizashi in front of Naruto but aside from that, he didn't give a damn who saw the marks. As long as he could have a minute or two to try to explain things to Hinata... He didn't want her to be upset or disgusted by this. She was a smart girl and would probably know right away but he thought he'd better voice this anyway. "Baby, don't take this the wrong way, because I adore you and I don't want to hide you at all, but I really want to get a chance to speak to Hinata before we're...too affectionate in front of her. I just want a chance to explain it to her before we start necking around her, ne?" He squeezed the hand in his reassuringly, hoping he wasn't about to set Hizashi off. "I'm sure with the way that you marked me up like a leopard that everyone there will know right away anyway but you understand what I'm saying, don't you, Koi? Neji already knew but I have no idea if Hinata would have figured that out or not."

"You're unnerved?!?" Hiashi said with a bit of a grin, pulling into a parking spot near Hizashi's home. "I think...she'll understand. Maybe I shouldn't do it tonight though. It is Christmas...but I'm not naive enough to think she's naive enough not to know what someone who's spent hours having amazing sex looks like. She does spend time with your son." He gave Hizashi a slightly weary smile and a quick peck on the cheek before glancing out the window. "I guess I'll feel her out. She's a smart girl, I don't doubt that she'll understand." With a sigh he undid his seat belt and mentally checked his temper, chanting it's Christmas, have patience, over in his head. "Alright, let's go get your son. I won't speak unless I have to." When Hizashi gave him a strange look, he shrugged. "It's Christmas, I don't want to yell." Hiashi smirked a little as Hizashi laughed and both of them hopped out of the car and headed inside to collect his nephew.
Neji was running on autopilot--for the last fifteen hours, from 11PM to 2PM of the following day, he'd been awake, working on a gingerbread castle that was turning out to look very much like a real life replica of a Bavarian castle. Chugging down more Shiraz, and then finishing off a bottle of Merlot, he continued slathering more icing on the piece of cardboard that he'd nailed to a wooden plank that Hizashi's new washer and dryer had come in, and grabbing handfuls of a holiday mix he'd whipped up that consisted of crushed peppermints, gumdrops, colored sugar sprinkles, powdered sugar, and spearmints, smothering them onto the icing he'd just put down with his bare hands. What looked like powdered sugar but was actually cocaine was around his nostrils, and around him were multiple small containers that were once filled with vanilla icing, the kitchen smelled of freshly baked gingerbread, and the 21-year-old's eyes were bloodshot. Putting some finishing touches on the gingerbread castle, he grabbed onto the neck of the green glass bottle of fine wine, chugging it down and putting the empty bottle on the floor to join the rest of the wine that he'd pilfered from his father's wine cooler.
And then he promptly fell face-down onto the coffee table and let out a soft snore.
"Oh fuck," was all Hiashi muttered as he and Hizashi entered the loft to find Neji sprawled out over the coffee table. They both rushed to his side but from the collection of bottles on the floor and the mirror and creditcard covered in white powder Hiashi knew that he most likely wasn't in too bad of shape, just passed out. Flipping Neji over and checking his pulse, Hiashi groaned in frustration at his nephew while carefully wiping the powder off his nose with his scarf. His perfect day was ruined as Hizashi started to cry and pulled Neji's head into his chest, the two of them holding Neji between their bodies like a child. "Shhh, baby, he's alright," Hiashi soothed, smoothing a hand over Hizashi hair and rubbed Neji's back while scowling. "He's just passed out, he'll be okay. We should just put him to bed here and let him sleep it off, baby. He's not going to be very good company today."

"Okay! Okay...I know, baby," Hiashi, said softly, furious at his nephew for ruining Hizashi's first Christmas back with, though really he was just as worried about Neji as Hizashi was. The youngest, male Hyuuga had been on a dangerous downward spiral for the past couple of weeks since his break up and Hiashi was at a complete loss as to what he could do about it. Neji was still pissed at him about their fight the night before he'd found Hizashi, even though he'd tried to explain to Neji that he'd been desperate to keep researching, to find out if the impossible could really be true. Apparently it was no reason for him to act like a jack ass, though Hiashi was disinclined to agree. "He's...just been acting out because his fool of a lover cheated on him. I wish he would have let me smack the bastard around," Hiashi growled, showing off his sharp canine teeth, his face softening when he turned his attention back to Hizashi. "Okay, baby. Do you want to gather up his things and I'll carry him to the car?" he asked, brushing the tears tenderly off Hizashi's cheeks.
Wiping his eyes, Hizashi glanced once more over at the gingerbread castle. "It's not our place to intervene where his ex-boyfriend is concerned... however, when it gets to the point where he's playing around with alcohol and illegal drugs, then I'm absolutely going to step in; legal adult or not, he's my baby, and I have to protect him! He is so grounded when he wakes up!!" the younger twin blew his nose in a tissue from the nearby Kleenex box, looking over at his identical sibling. "...Hiashi... what are we going to do about this... gingerbread monstrosity? We can't just leave it here... Chanel will get into it, definitely. The coffee table is low enough for her to reach it, and the second she finds out it's edible... Neji will never forgive us if his dog dies because she ate too much chocolate and whatever else this thing is made up of... Just one person can't eat this all by themselves, it'd take months..." the artist paused poignantly, biting on his thumbnail as he postulated a thought that randomly popped into his head. "...Neji nailed the cardboard to a plank... maybe if we took it to the Christmas dinner..."
Hiashi let out a small frustrated groan but nodded compliantly. Between Hizashi and Neji he was pretty much the most whipped man on the planet so he didn't know why he even bothered to complain. "Yes, alright. Go grab his coat and see if he remembered to get something for his cousin," Hiashi huffed, lifting Neji onto the couch and giving his shoulder a gentle shake to see if he could rouse him. When his nephew's head just lolled to the side, Hiashi sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Why today, Neji?" he whispered, taking the coat from Hizashi and wrangling Neji's limp body into the coat and wrapping his own scarf around his nephew's long elegant neck. "Alright, how heavy is the gingerbread monstrosity. Can you carry it yourself or should we get Neji into the car and carry it together?"

Neji shifted in Hiashi's arms, snuggling close to the source of warmth and letting out a content sigh. "Hrnn..."
"Aww... how cute..." Hizashi grinned. "I wish I had a camera."
Hiashi scowled but as he adjusted Neji in his arms he pressed a very light kiss to the passed out, young man's forehead. As much as he despised his nephew's behavior, he had always loved Neji like his own son, even before Hizashi had disappeared. "Bring some pillows, baby. I'll be pissed if we get that thing loaded into the car and he flops over and crushes it," Hiashi muttered, clearly very enthused with how Christmas was going now. Hiashi carefully hauled his sleeping Nephew out to the car and slipped him into the back seat, propping the pillows all around him so he was properly angled towards the door. Then he lowered the other half of the back seat so there was a nice flat spot for the castle to go, though he wasn't sure if it would fit, vertically or horizontally. Hiashi scratched his head, holding out his arms to try to get an idea of how big the car was. "Alright. Let's get this thing loaded so we can get there. Did you find a gift for Hinata?" he asked, sure that Neji would eventually get her something but he didn't know if Neji's mind would have been in the right space for getting into Christmas lately. "If not then this thing can be a gift for her for now."
"Hold on a second, there's something on the dining table..." the younger twin headed into the archway leading to his dining room and kitchen, picking up the black velvet box and peering inside of it. Sure enough, it was for Hinata, as stipulated by the tag inside. Hizashi gaped at the blue topaz necklace housed in it; the thing was probably dreadfully expensive, where the hell was Neji getting money like this? "Hiashi... is there maybe something you want to tell me regarding the inheritence I left for my son? That money alone wouldn't be able to afford this, so spill!" he whirled around, flashing the piece of jewelry to the older twin with a raised eyebrow. "Has my baby been turning tricks on the sidewalk!?" he wailed, slamming the box closed and chewing at his nails, a nervous habit brought on when he felt particularly stressed out or worried about something.

"Wait, what?"
Hiashi chuckled, nuzzling his lover's neck. "Didn't I mention that your work is world famous? Caged birds is worth millons now baby, though I'm sure it will be dropping in value now that you're not dead." He smiled and nibbled on Hizashi's earlobe, wondering if they had time to have a quickie before heading out, but an insistent whine from Chanel made him sigh and tuck the little box for his daughter into his pocket. "We'd better take her out before we go," Hiashi said, stealing one more kiss before grudgingly pulling away. "Come on, I'll go over the financial details with you some other time but as far as I know, Neji has never slept with one of his clients, though I'm sure he wouldn't tell me if he had. He certainly doesn't need to do it for the money. Now let's get to dinner so we can get this over with and get home for some more fun." Hiashi smirked and swatted Hizashi on the ass before moving over to the massive castle on the board.
The twins loaded the gingerbread castle into the car, only having to twist and wiggle it a little to get it inside, fed and watered the puppy and finally got themselves back on the road. Hiashi stroked his thumb along Hizashi's hand, his eyes flicking to his mirror to check on his nephew as they drove. When they finally pulled up to Hinata's apartment, Hiashi scowled, unimpressed that his heiress was living in such a low security building. "Do you think I can force her to move?" Hiashi grumbled, popping the trunk for Hizashi and moving to the passenger side to haul Neji onto his back. Holding onto Neji's arms so he wouldn't slide off, Hiashi followed his twin to the door, waiting for Hinata to open it. Hizashi greeted his daughter, who looked oddly flushed, jovially, while he merely scowled halfheartedly. "Your cousin is drooling on the back of my neck. God bless us, everyone." With a quick kiss to her temple and a brief "Merry Christmas", Hiashi toed off his shoes and hauled Neji into the apartment, quickly locating the bedroom and depositing his nephew on the bed.

“I’m glad you could make it…”
She thought about saying more, and then she realized that her father was carrying Neji. Carrying an unconscious Neji to be precise. Her eyes widened as he passed by her, blinking even as an automatic “Merry Christmas” spilled from her lips to echo his own. As she watched him go to her bedroom, her pale eyes turning to her uncle and then back to the bedroom door.
“Ano… You didn’t… Tranquilize him or anything, did you? You didn’t have to bring him if he didn’t want to come… Especially if it meant having to drag him…”
Neji’s initial refusal to attend had hurt of course, and the method by which he’d chosen to do so had been more than a bit embarrassing, but ultimately she knew it wasn’t worth being upset over it. That was just Neji, and there was nothing she could do to change his mind or his behavior, and being upset over it would ruin the Christmas she’d worked so hard to have. Besides, when it came down to it, Neji’s behavior was something she should have known to expect. Still, her family was there, and her friends were either there or on their way, and it was going to be a good day, regardless of the few obstacles that had presented themselves.

And then he remembered the gingerbread monstrosity in the back of the Bentley. "Oh, speaking of that gingerbread castle he made... we actually brought it with us, since Neji and I will by no means be able to eat it. The gingerbread is very soft, moist. I think he baked it instead of buying storebought... Do you by chance have a surface we could put it on, one that can withstand over 50 pounds?"

“I hope you have better luck with that than we would have…”
The thought of Neji being grounded was mildly amusing in it’s own right, if only because Neji was stubborn and had probably not adhered to punishment a day in his life. That she had spent her life attempting to be a voice of reason was enough to show what little discipline he was probably used to and going to welcome.
“Here?”
She looked at her uncle, the crease in her brow deepening.
“F-Fifty pounds?”
Given the fact that a typical gingerbread house weighed, oh, say about 8 to 12 ounces, that was a lot of gingerbread.
“Ah, y-yes, just let me move the table around. Ah… Sh-Shino-san? Naruto-san? Could you help bring this in please?”
One had to admit, sometimes having strapping young men around could be useful. Not that she was thinking about that in the slightest because that would be a ridiculous thing to be thinking about on Christmas.
“Ah, Sakura-chan isn’t here yet, nor is Tenten, but they should arrive shortly and then we can eat whenever everyone’s ready.”
It occurred to her that her uncle might enjoy talking to Tenten. Memories or no, he’d still been gone the better part of Neji’s life, and Tenten was someone who would be able to tell a bit about him from his college days, more than any of the family could, given the fact that Neji hadn’t really been speaking to any of them back then.
’One thing at a time, we can think about grilling her later, first get everyone that’s still conscious settled in, then make sure everyone’s still coming, eat, grill Tenten, and later on we can kill Neji for doing drugs and mixing them with drinking. Can’t forget priorities.’
She moved the few feet to her coffee table to prepare for the gingerbread castle, her slender form pulling the heavy table away from the couch a foot or so before lifting the table-top, unfolding it and securing it to have a nice, large, sturdy table to hold the castle on when the boys brought it in.

Lifting his gaze thoughtfully the medical student considered what had just happened. Whenever he touched Hinata or stood close, she would blush and then with a conscious effort relax. Anxiety do to a reticent, personality? . He watched as she welcomed her father, and uncle graciously the stutter no longer detectable. She stood taller, her back and shoulder perfectly erect her entire demeanor different. The sight of Hyuuga Neji cradled in his uncles or fathers arms (Shino could not determine which held the sleeping form); drew the shaded man out of the kitchen. His gaze following the one carrying Neji to a Hinata’s bedroom his gut tightened at the thought that the young Hyuuga man is ill.
At that, moment he overheard Hizashi explain Neji’s condition. The news sickened him slightly. Things had certainly gone horribly wrong. He shook his head, following Hinata’s direction after confronting a guilty looking Naruto hovering near the tree. Though curious Shino refused to ask exactly what the other had been doing, there was too much happening now, and with the prospect of a formal meeting with Hinata’s father on his mind, he had to keep distractions to a minimum.
They delivered the large decorative pastry, to the designated spot on the coffee table - a slow and agonizing process. That included many nervous hisses and irritating although necessary instructions on how to move the monstrosity without breaking it.
Shino resisted the urge to rub his back, since he had confectioners’ sugar on his hands. After double checking the placement he went back into the kitchen to wash his hands.
