Someone has just recently brought up a good point to me with an individual email.  If anybody has a more personal goodbye letter that they would like shared with my dad, but not have it up on the intranet for the world to see, they can feel free to email it to me directly.

Dear Dick uncle,
I don't know where to start but I will try to put some of my memories.I still remember the first time you were in LA for conference and mamuni told me that you will be doing a approval process for her and she asked me to impress you, and to my best effort I did try that day. I remember that we had our dinner in Denny's and you asked me " I will ask you couple of questions and then you will pass on the verdict to her parents", I was kind of nervous, the first question you asked me was"do you know how to bake cookies", my answer was "No", then 2nd question was "do you know how to bake Turkey", "NO", by that time I was seriously thinking, " Dude this can't be happening to me" and third but the most important question you asked me " why do you think you are the one who should marry her" and then to that question I had replied " because I love her" after that reply I thought " you know what he will think this is a a dumb answer" but to my surprise you told me that " It is not important to know the first 2 questions,I can teach you how to bake cookies and turkey but your last answer is very important to know and you did well in that" I was relived.
I know you are a English professor and the way I have written this post does not go with English grammar but this is the "Hinglish" grammer "Hindi+English".
Thank you for your tasty cookies that you had sent me last Chirstmas and all your affection. I will allways be greatful to you for your trip to India to attend our wedding. This surprise brought tears of happiness in so many eyes. I am praying to Lord Jagannath that he gives you a lot of strength to go through this phase and also give give Tuni mausi and the kids strength to smile through this time.

Dick uncle & Tuni mausi we all love you. Come back soon so that we can visit you.

Mau Lord Jagannath be with you.

Lots of Love and regards,

Sushant
