I finally saw Wordplay, the movie about will shortz and the nytimes crossword puzzle. there is one part of the film when ken burns is asked about the first time he went "7 for 7" - solving the puzzle every day of one week. Fridays are damn hard. I used to could do Thursdays and Fridays quite regularly (in collaboration with the ole Breakfast of Cuntocrats) but now I'm really out of practice. I too shall try to go 7 for 7 in 2007.

Also, Sarah and I now have a weekly Scrabble date with two of our friends. There is so much word-nerdy goodness in my life right now.
