Fred -Tour de Béarn, June 2015
July 2, 2015 Fred came back from a 10-days hiking trip in the Pyrenees Atlantiques region Béarn. Here some pictures to tell his story.......

Dawn in front of 'Pic du Soum Couy' (2,315 m).
После захода солнца перед пиком 'Pic du Soum Couy' (2,315 m).
'Pic d'Anie' (2,504 m) on my way to its summit.
Пик де Ани - 'Pic d'Anie' (2,504 m - снято во время восхождения на оный.
'Pic des 3 Rois' (2,444 m) from 'Table des 3 Rois' (2,421 m), where the kings of Aragon, Catalunia and Béarn met.
'Pic des 3 Rois' (2,444 m) - Пик Трех Королей снято со 'Table des 3 Rois' (2,421 m) - Стола Трех Королей - где встретились короли Арагона, Каталонии и Беарн-а.
'Lac de Lhurs' (1,691 m).
Ну озеро такое. Название выше.
On my way down from 'Pic du Labiguer' (2,175 m), on again a warm day, what a scenery.......
Even the 'Patou' - Pyrenean Mountain Dog, of the shepherd of 'Cabane de Yèse' (1,722 m), who guards the sheep and goats, is hot.
Даже "Пату" ("Great Pyrenees" или (Pyrenean Mountain Dog) (Chien de Montagne des Pyrenees) (Pyrenean dog) - Пирeнейская пастушья овчарка у 'Cabane de Yèse' (1,722 m), охраняющая коз и овец явно страдает от жары.
From top of 'Pic de Sesques' (2,604 m) view on the forked 'Pic du Midi d'Ossau' (2885 m), symbol of the Pyrenees.

'Lac d'Isabe' (1,925 m) from 'Pic de Sesques' (2,606 m).
Again 'Pic du Midi d'Ossau' (2,884 m), now with 'Lac Gentau' (1,947 m), from close to the summit of 'Pic d'Ayous' (2,288 m).
Altocumulus Lenticularis clouds mark a windy day.
'Pic du Labiguer' (2,175 m), on left, where I passed some days ago, and continued to the right over the ridge.
'Chemin de la Mâture' (1,200 m long), drilled through rock in the middle of the 18th century, to have wood transported for marine ship masts. It is now a tourist attraction, and also part of the long distance trail GR10, which connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Mediterranean Sea in about 45 days.
'Chemin de la Mâture' (1,200 m long), - Тропа длиной 1,200 м высверлена в прямом смысле в скале в середине 18 столетия с целью траспортировки корабельного леса для военного флота. На сегодня - это туриcтическая достопримечательность и часть длинного официального тура - Гранн Рандоннэ 10 - GR10, который предполагает поход в течение 45 дней с побережья Атлантического океана до Средиземного моря.
'Fort du Portalet', built at the end of the 19th century to guard the entrance to and from Spain via the 'Col du Somport', is under renovation. It also served as a prison.
Still on the trail of the GR10, mother and child curiously looking at again a bypasser.
