Well, Travis the Turd just stopped by to pick up Halo 2. He knew he was going to get a copy of Halo 2, as I bought a pre-order of it for his birthday. What he DIDN'T know was that, since I'm chummy with the people at Video Games Etc., I was able to get him the super-special Collectors' Edition of the game, rather than the standard version everyone else was getting. It still had the "Do Not Sell Until" sticker on it, even. The Special Collectors' Edition I got him was normally $10 to $15 more expensive, virtually guaranteeing that he would be the only person in his class to have it. Nobody out-games the Alpha Nerd's nephew, dammit! Ooh, you got it at midnight, the night it was released? Yeah? Does yours have a stainless steel box, bitch?
Anywho, I'm stoked because I did the Cool Uncle thing, and I'm waiting for his stories about how his friends bow before his L337-ness. But now I'm back into gaming, and I need to figure out which game I'm going to get next. My GC selection is still dwarfed by my PS and Saturn games, which is uncool, because I used to have every game ever made for the 32X AND the Virtual Boy. How can I call myself the Alpha Nerd if I only have... *counts* 17 games for the Gamecube? I just bought Megaman X: Command Mission, I've already paid off my Metroid Prime 2: Echoes pre-order, and I've started one for the new Zelda game, but I want to get something else, too. Second Sight? X-Men Legends? Viewtiful Joe 2? Donkey Konga? Animal Farm? Prince of Persia: Warrior's Spirit? Please, please feel free to make suggestions.
