Holy days, holidays

Apr 03, 2007 18:18

In two days, Manila will be dead. Holy Week has come again, and work (supposedly) stops for everyone. People are heading out of town to take a break, or going on retreats to reflect, or have made some other plans for this very long weekend.

After days and weeks and months of having work on the forefront of my mind, I am stumped. What are we going to do? The car's AC is not working well, we have no plans for vacation, and the Manila heat bakes us in our own home. Matthew has no gymboree, I have no meeting, and Armand has no project.

Well, it's not a problem really, as much as it is a rhetorical question, I guess. We've been pouring over recipes the past few days, so I won't be surprised if we'd be having some sort of cooking session coming up. Maybe, we'll visit some relatives and watch DVDs. Maybe we'll sleep all day. Ahh, to have no schedules, no pressure, no rush, no hustle.

The best part? Many good things await us after the holidays, things I can't go into at length right now. Let's just say, I have exciting business prospects firming up, Armand is investing in his dream career, and Matthew gets to take the ride along with us.

What are you guys doing for Holy Week?
