He was at Aggiecon 2002. I was his guest host, so got to make sure his accomodations were good, that he got to his panels on time, and made sure he was well fed. So I got to have half a dozen meals with him over the weekend. And toured the A&M sci-fi collection with him. A lot of cool exotic books.

HE's polite, friendly, and a bit aloof. I didn't feel like a stranger with him though. We talked books, politics, and a little about my research at the time. He was knida fascinated about turning organic wastes into valuable products.
