Cary Grant is on my shitlist. My computer Cary Grant, that is. This evening it began making an unhappy fried buzzing sound, like something is clicking out of gear. it continued to work normally for a while and then got slower, finally refusing to respond to anything. Then it wouldn't restart past the grey screen and the little light on the very front edge didn't go on. I left it alone for about a half hour and tried again. The buzzing sound is still there, but it turned on, albeit very very slowly. I checked my Norton anti-virus and discovered that it as, in fact, not up-to-date; I had been hooked up to the Kenyon network for about 26 hours when it began to buzz, so I guess it's possible that I could have contracted some sort of disease. I'm updating Norton right now (Taryn has been wonderful by letting me use her computer and reminding me that there are ways to get to Columbus that aren't terribly difficult). So, ugh Ack, the little light STILL isn't on, but the computer is running. This is on the very not good side of terrible.
Anyone know what is going on? Am I doomed? Roman, are you there? Thankfully my warranty goes until 2007 and I think I have AppleCare, but the closest Apple store is an hour away.
Super super not pleased.
