disconnect (boring MH entry)

There are many things of mine, superficial but inaccessible.

I read.
I listen to music.
I studied and learned skills from that.
I worked and learned skills.
I have traveled.

But recalling these things -- books I have read, names of bands I like, movies I've seen, classes I've taken and info from that, places I've been -- isn't always easy or possible.

And so when I'm asked for the 1000th time what kind of music I like, I guess I should have a list of interesting artists, but I rarely can come up with any good ones. Often ones I have liked more, now feel so-so about.

In other mental news, the combination of being told I'm worse by a good friend, the adjustment here, attention acting up (can't reeead!) feeling not so good, and a heavy, heavy case of paranoia (can't listen to most music! refuse to saludar* in the streets!), got me to break down and buy ($5) some natural medicine at one of those natural food and drugs stores at every metro stop. It's got valerian, lettuce, rosemary, C, lots of Bs, etc, and reportedly for nerves, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Hecho en México, I'm betting it's not sold in the US, but the English side says "Improve Formula;" I could use some Improve. Hopefully should help and not cause further oversleeping.

saludar- to greet; to say goodbye
Pretty sure it's customary, at least when one is in one's barrio, to saludar everyone one makes eye contact with, as well as propetarios of stores one patronizes.

mh, de-socialization, mexico, drugs, head, spanish word of the day
