Today was great.
As usual, I moped around the house like an unemployed, unfocused schmuck until finally taking off the slippers and riding my bike to Center City. At 2000 Market St., an old place of employment, I gave a very thankful businessman the cellphone he had dropped in the intersection yesterday. He gave me flowers. Sweet. Shoulda given him my resume? Who knows...maybe I should have an alt-resume where I list an objective for that reason only...
From 20th, I biked north to Girard, eventually reaching my destination,
at 1400 n American. Inside said warehouse/factory-cum-artspace,
Projecto Sin Fronterasrecorded three hours of airtime, probably heard by virtually no one. Three students from my class came, Roberto, Bartolo, and Segundo. In a Spanish segment on ESL, I interviewed Roberto. It was truly a grand pleasure to get to know him a bit more in the process. In an ESL process segment, some other teachers and myself talked about storytelling as a learning tool. Wow! A thrill.
Despite protests from the students, I biked home. Mark and I discussed and having consumed (via dumpster) recalled peanutbutter products. Jaime came over and we went around the corner to Varsity Pizza to have great conversation amid wine, tequila, wine again, and finally a buffalo chicken wrap.
