People get the words subconscious & unconscious mixed up a lot. For the record one means below your consciousness (meaning something you are not actively thinking about) and the other means knocked out/passed out (not thinking in the active world of beings that are awake). I'll leave it up to you to figure out which one is which.
Let me just say that you can not do things unconsciously. The very fact that you are unconscious would preclude you from any actions other than dreaming because at that point your brain is not entirely in control of your faculties. There are a few exceptions, such as sleepwalking. Whilst your subconscious can perform unintended actions without fully thinking about them you are not capable of such things while in a state of unconsciousness. Simple, right? Maybe I should give some examples of what not to say (straight from google!):
"Ten books I unconsciously based my life off of..." - This person was knocked out when basing his life on literature.
"I unconsciously say things that I do not mean." - This person must talk a lot in their sleep and say things that they wouldn't really want to while awake.
"When I care about someone I unconsciously merge with them, and become just a little bit like them." - Holy crap! This knocked out metamorphosis thing really should be looked into! Creepy shit! Sleeping with the person would mean becoming fused with them.
"Growing up, I think I unconsciously followed in my mother's footsteps."* - She is like a zombie chasing after her mom!
"How do I unconsciously ruin my success?" -One would assume by sleeping through it, and therefor not doing anything.
"Do I unconsciously hate breastfeeding?" -Only if you don't like it if your baby breastfeeds while you are sleeping.
"Have I unconsciously been fighting the whole "beauty" thing too hard all these years?" -This one is questioning why when she goes to bed with makeup on her face she wakes up with it all smeared off.
"By that age, I unconsciously attracted ladies and considered it was a natural gift or charisma." -I think he might only be attracting necrophiliacs.
"When I enter a building, I unconsciously check for exits." -Now this takes talent. Am I to assume that this person enters a building, gets knocked out and in their dreams checks for exists. Wow, quite impressive!
"Ultimately, this is not the world's fault because I unconsciously agreed to this belief." -This one can be convinced of anything while sleeping.
"I realized that I unconsciously pushed people away." -There is no sleeping with this one; you'll be off the bed and on the floor in no time.
"I've found that when I have a crush I unconsciously avoid mentioning my SO." -In order not to give away her relationship status this person knocks herself out. Now that is discipline.
"Years later, when I got into perfumes, I unconsciously gravitated toward amergris scents." -Is that gravitated or levitated?
"I think that I unconsciously search out someone to be infatuated with." -Great, knocked out stalkers, as if the awake ones weren't enough to deal with.
"I saw the Statue of Liberty in the waters and I unconsciously smiled." -Warning: Looking directly at the Statue of Liberty will knock you out and leave you with a stupid grin on your sleeping face!
Okay, okay I'll stop here. I could really go on forever; there are pages and pages of this stuff. Just please remember, that you subconsciously do things, or you might end up quoted in my unconscious list of shame!
