Hello Fucker

I use to buy a lot of music; I mean like over 2000 items* worth. These days I rarely buy music at all because of a lack of funds, but I do like to keep up on artists if I have everything they've ever done. That said, I hate it when bands stagnate. For me music has to be in constant evolution while still maintaining the band identity.

So I bring to you: the B-52's - Funplex. They are a great unique band that I'm sure most of you know already. I own all of their albums and after 15 years they are finally putting out a new one the day before my Birthday (in Japan - US street date is March 25th) and I scraped together enough to order the Japanese release because it has a bonus track and I found a website that had it on sale for 50% off list.

It was this song that sealed the deal. It has an absolutely cool modern sound while still maintaining the distinctiveness that is the B-52's. I am exited. Please take the time to listen to it once even if you think you hate the band, it might surprise you. And what is 4 minutes of your time listening to a song anyway? I hope you enjoy it and feel free to leave your opinion!

* - I say "items" because not everything in my collection is an album. There are just as many singles & oddities.
