[ Whether Yusuf was quite so protective of Rhada before this dream coming to The City, is debatable. Rhada is quite the intelligent feline, and it doesn't take much more than one trip around the hot, arid streets of Mombasa to find that hand-outs are not common. This might very well be where Yusuf's stray problem stems from.

The point stands: ( Read more... )

I did not realize the front door was left open, and I have no idea where Rhada is.

She's a cat. They can take care of themselves.

[ ...can't...they....his voice isn't entirely sure of itself, really... ]

[ Yusuf doesn't have the time to explain how emotions work right now, Arthur! ]

Precisely; a cat that primarily lives indoors off of my doting hand.

[ GOSH YUSUF, GOSH. ]

You tried luring her back with....fish...or something?

[ THEORY: platter of fish in front of apartment building will draw All the Cats....including Rhada????

. . .trial and error okay...]

[ WE KNOW ITS DIFFICULT ARTHUR, BUT YOUR BIG HEAD IS GOOD WITH ANALOGIES RIGHT? HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF PANCAKE GOT OUT?

HMM?? ]

Lure her back-- [ Yusuf sounds perplexed for a moment. ] Arthur, to lure her back she would have to be somewhere within smelling distance, otherwise I am just some crazy man wandering around with an open pouch of cat food.

[ Which.. okay, he's not above, but... he didn't think of that. ]

[ POINT TAKEN AND YET THE DOG DID NOT GET OUT AND SO ARTHUR AS OF YET FAILS WITH EMPATHY. OR SYMPATHY. WHATEVER IT IS. UM.]

She might be. You won't know until you try.

You're only crazy if you're sitting there eating the cat food while you wait.

[ Obviously Rhada has not been loving you enough. She'll have to shed all over your suit when she's found. ]

I suppose... but If she is roaming the streets right now I do not want to spend time running back and forth.

Somehow, I will avoid the temptation.

[ That's assuming there's a suit left to shed upon B((((((( ]

Look, just...stay where you are - or go get fish or catnip or whatever and stand there with it.

I'll canvas everywhere else. Get Eames and Ariadne on it too.

[ There should be at least one... unless Arthur left buck ass naked this morning. In which case... Yusuf needs to resort to a stronger brew in the mornings because he totally missed that. ]

Miss Saya is heading over here now. We will look around the immediate area and hopefully Rhada will have had the sense to not go far.

Where should I tell them to cover so you three are not overlapping?

[ Thankfully it is not one of Those days for Arthur - though uh it probably will be once everyone returns to the apartment...

Ahem. ]

Buildings 1-4 for Eames, I'll take 5-8. Ariadne should check the area near 9-12.

Meet back after or before that if she comes back sooner.

[ Rhada will sense that clothes without hair have suddenly become infinitely more valuable.

Get ready for all the loving, Arfur. ]

Yes. Good. [ This is, after all, what Arthur is good at. Yusuf feels marginally better knowing there is some sort of plan coming together. ]

If you find her, ring me, yes?

[ SCREAM. And suddenly Arfur has an entirely new meaning (tears)...well kind of.

Anyway, he will not rebuff the cat. It's a pet. In the end, they always win...

As to calling Yusuf if the feline in question is found, he replies: ]

Obviously.

[ Pause. ]

How'd she get out in the first place?

Whoever was last out the front door must not have closed it entirely. It was open just enough to let her squeeze through.

[ When you've lived with cats long enough, you learn to differentiate an accidentally left open door and a door that has been nudged open just enough to allow mischievous felines to go roaming about. ]

Not me. But we'll find her. If she doesn't come back first.

[ It was...probably Eames? Ariadne? Someone who left after him.

Well he's not going to point a finger specifically. Yet.]

It hardly matters who left it open, just that she does not get far.

[ He's sincere in the sentiment, checking around outside and hoping his device will alert him to someone who has found her. ]
