Trip 4823032: Picked up in Fredericksburg, Virginia and delivered to Jefferson, Georgia with a stop in Greensboro, Tennessee.
I'm glad my phone does GPS. Without it, I would've had a hard time picking up and delivering my load, as there were no directions were 'not currently available' in the Qualcomm. But I encountered no problems thanks to that technology.
There was an issue with the final destination in that the address on the paperwork didn't match that in the dispatch. All other paperwork (like packing lists) had the same address as on the bills, so I determined that was the proper place. I told the company about it and they wanted to know what happened at the shipper when I saw the descrepency. The shipper was like, 'Doesn't go there, goes here.' There were no incidents with delivery, so I guess all is well. After wmptying out, I went and stayed the day at the Pilot in Braselton, Georgia. I took a shower and got a little rest before picking up my next load.
Trip 4832070: I didn't get much sleep before getting this load. I tried, but wasn't tired enough.
This load picked up from Atlanta, Georgia and is to be delivered here in Lumberton, North Carolina.
The place it picked up from some place in the middle of Atlanta. I got to go inside the loop to get it, as the pick up percluded being considered 'thru'. Those of you who don't know, any truck more than 6 wheels passing by Atlanta to a delivery elsewhere must use the I285 loop around the city. Being that my pick up was inside the loop, I was exempt. I saw some interesting buildings, but found the lanes to be frightfully narrow. I could't really oogle the sights as I was too busy making sure I stayed in my lane.
